BROCK LESNAR (C) VS. UNDERTAKER

 Brock Lesnar makes his way out first with Paul Heyman, Cole asks if it’s mind games, Tazz says he’s simply getting a good look at the Cell from outside. Undertaker walks to the ring, he has a broken hand and Stephanie McMahon has allowed him to wear his cast for the Hell in a Cell match.

Brock Lesnar plays keep-away to start, ducking right hands and taking Undertaker down in a waistlock. Undertaker gets back to his feet in the hold and elbows his way free. Another back elbow knocks Brock into the ropes but he reverses an irish whip and catches Undertaker with a powerslam.

  Brock Lesnar covers for 2. Lesnar drives his shoulder into Taker’s ribs in the corner and sends him across the ring. Brock misses the charge and gets knocked down with a shot from the cast. Lesnar is sent across to the ring and he powders to the floor, looking for a way out of the cell. Undertaker follows him around ringside and back in the ring, Lesnar boots Undertaker and he starts targeting the broken hand in the corner. Undertaker is trapped in an arm bar near the ropes, but he fights out. Lesnar is knocked down with a shot from the cast but cuts Undertaker off with a knee to the midsection. Undertaker reverses an irish whip and knocks Lesnar down with the cast, busting him open. Lesnar is trapped against the Cell as Undertaker connects with a back elbow. Lesnar’s head is sent into the ring steps and takes another trip into the Cell.

  Michael Cole mentions it’s Undertaker’s 5th Hell in a Cell match, which seems like nothing now, as he grinds Lesnar’s face into the mesh. Undertaker sends Lesnar into the Cell wall and clotheslines him down on the floor for 2. Undertaker punches on Lesnar from above and grinds his head against the Cell. Brock Lesnar takes a third trip into the Cell wall before Undertaker drapes him over the apron. Undertaker hits Lesnar with his cast, setting up the apron Leg Drop. Undertaker climbs to the top rope as Heyman asks what he’s doing. Undertaker hits a knee drop but we don’t see it well, he covers but Brock kicks out at 2. Brock Lesnar is sent into the Cell wall in front of Paul Heyman, who reaches for Undertaker through the chicken wire. Undertaker knocks Heyman down with a Big Boot to a pop from the crowd and sends Lesnar into the ring steps. Paul Heyman has been busted open, Undertaker grabs his tie and pulls him into the Cell wall.

  Brock Lesnar charges from behind Undertaker but collides with his agent instead! Brock Lesnar catches Undertaker with a flapjack into the Cell wall, he drives Undertaker into the ring post and then the corner of the Cell. We see some more replays during the down time and Heyman hands his belt to Brock Lesnar. Lesnar ties it around Undertaker’s broken hand and hands the other end of the belt to Heyman. Brock Lesnar hits Undertaker across the back with a steel chair as Heyman holds Undertaker in place, then Lesnar targets the broken hand, snapping the belt with the chair shot. Lesnar starts ripping and biting at Undertaker’s cast, but that gives him a second wind. Undertaker connects with right hands on Lesnar, but his hand gets sent into the Cell wall. Lesnar keeps removing the cast, but gets kicked in the face. Brock Lesnar brings it back in the ring and stomps on Undertaker. The cast is removed and Lesnar kicks Undertaker in the ribs before focusing on the exposed hand.

  Brock Lesnar places Taker on the top turnbuckle and climbs to the top rope, using the steel truss to swing and kick Undertaker, he looks to attempt a superplex but it’s cut off with a low blow. Undertaker shoves Lesnar down to the mat and walks across the top rope, hitting an elbow drop. Undertaker slowly covers but only gets 2. Paul Heyman looks the worst off and he’s not even in the match! Lesnar stuns Undertaker across the top rope but a running Big Boot sends Lesnar into the Cell wall. Undertaker dives through the ropes, sending himself and Lesnar into the Cell wall. Brock Lesnar stops Undertaker using the ring steps and sends him into the Cell wall. Lesnar clotheslines Undertaker down. Brock Lesnar sends the ring steps into Undertaker’s head and that’s enough for a gusher. Undertaker is knocked down with another shot from the ring steps before Lesnar throws the steps over the ring. Lesnar chokes Undertaker with his boot as Heyman laughs along at ringside.

  Undertaker meets Lesnar back in the ring with a kick to the midsection and a right hand, but runs into a spinebuster. Brock Lesnar covers 1, 2, NO! Lesnar covers again for the same result. Undertaker is backed into the corner with right hands, and kept there with kicks to the midsection. Brock Lesnar knocks Undertaker back into the ropes with a right hand but Undertaker rebounds with a right of his own, and connects with a series of them before a clothesline knocked Lesnar down. Undertaker stomps on Lesnar’s hand and sets up Old School but Lesnar arm drags him to the mat. Brock Lesnar lifts Undertaker for an F-5, Taker slips back to his feet and hits the Chokeslam! 1, 2, No! Undertaker squashes Lesnar in the corner, Brock Lesnar is sent across the ring but gets his boot up. Brock Lesnar call for the Last Ride but Taker backdrops out of it. Undertaker hits a running DDT and crawls for the cover, getting 2. Lesnar counters a Last Ride, driving Undertaker into the corner and sending his shoulder into Undertaker’s ribs.

  Undertaker interrupts the 10-punches with a Last Ride, he’s slow to cover and Lesnar grabs the bottom rope. Undertaker calls for the Tombstone Piledriver, Lesnar reverses the weight and lifts Undertaker into an F-5 for the win.

WINNER: BROCK LESNAR (STILL WWE Champion

 This match is a forgotten classic, thanks to their post 2014 work. Brock Lesnar took on Undertaker in his own match and was able to look dominant, Undertaker used his cast early but the advantage was negated and the match entered it’s second stage. Undertaker looked strong in defeat and the win pushed Brock Lesnar even higher. [****] 8/10

After the match Brock Lesnar grabs his Championship belt and celebrates at the top of the Cell.
