Before the match, Brother D-Von, Mr. McMahon, Stacy Keibler and Deacon Batista are backstage. Brother D-Von leads a prayer to keep Stacy safe in the match and to lead Stacy to the WWE Women's Championship. Brother D-Von says he warned his brother Bubba Ray Dudley to stay away tonight or there will be hell to pay.

Trish Stratus makes her way out first, as Stacy Keibler makes
her way out Lawler says that he likes legs. I don’t know why he’s ordering
chicken at work. Stacy won a swimsuit competition against Torrie Wilson on
Smackdown but I’m not sure how much it’s going to help her here. Trish Stratus
was also a late entrant to the match and entered in her underwear. I hate to be
the guy that complains about something pedantic, but shouldn’t that be a disqualification?
Brother D-Von’s music hits and he makes his way out to be in Stacy’s corner
with Batista. Bubba Ray Dudley makes his way out to so they can use more
time without having the women wrestle to somewhat even the odds.
Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler are on commentary for
this match. Howard Finkel is our ring announcer.

Trish Stratus begins the match with
forearm shots, Keibler reverses the irish whip and Trish ducks the clothesline.
Stacy Keibler connects with a kick and covers for a quick nearfall.
Trish Stratus is sent off the ropes into a back drop for another nearfall and
then wakes up and realises she’s defending the WWE Women’s Championship. Trish knocks
Stacy down with a clothesline and one of the clothesline/punch hybrid strikes
that you see every so often. Trish trips Keibler into a boston crab, Stacy
starts to crawl to the ropes then powers out of it, landing on Trish for a
cover which is reversed so they each get a 2 count. Trish Stratus ducks a
clothesline and hits a neckbreaker, covering for 2. Trish ducks another
clothesline and a Chick Kick knocks Stacy through the ropes to the floor. Bubba Ray Dudley laughs in Stacy’s face and gets slapped for it. Perfectly justified.
Bubba Ray doesn’t look happy about it but the referee stops it from getting physical.
Deacon Batista uses the distraction to slam Trish! Stacy Keibler covers but the
champion kicks out at 2. Stacy Keibler stomps on Trish and pulls her back in a
camel clutch whilst driving her knee into Trish’s back. Stacy Keibler uses
Trish’s hair to add pressure and utilises the 5-count. Trish Stratus is sent
off the ropes, she kicks Stacy Keibler and runs into a brick wall in Batista
with a baseball slide. Stacy Keibler’s clothesline connects with Batista like a
gust of wind but it’s enough for Trish Stratus to hit the bulldog and retain
the title as Batista takes a dive from the apron to the floor.
WINNER: TRISH STRATUS

This was not a good match, and was barely passable. Some
of the offense looked terrible and the finish was almost comical, add in that
the match was a backdrop for Dudley Drama and you can skip it completely. [DUD]
