THE KAT VS. TERRI RUNNELS

 

Before the match, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is shown backstage with Triple H. She says the kiss with Kurt Angle didn’t mean anything and she only loves Triple H. Triple H wants her to stay away from Angle.

The Kat enters first with Al Snow and Head. I’m going to need a drink to prepare for Lawler’s commentary for this match. We see Rikishi being persuaded by The Kat to perform the Stinkface on Terri Runnels 2 weeks previous on Smackdown. Speaking of Terri Runnels, she removes her dress at the top of the ramp. Perry Saturn, her second and the European Champion at this time, runs out to cover Terri with a towel. Terri attacked The Kat last Monday at WWF New York and performed the Stinkface on her on the stage. Worth every penny of admission that night. Ahem, The Kat removes her jacket.

THE KAT VS. TERRI RUNNELS (Thong Stinkface)

WWF SummerSlam 2000 (27^th August 2000)

The Kat takes Terri down to the mat and slams her. She sends Terri into the corner setting up a Stinkface, but Saturn drags Terri out of the ring.

  Perry Saturn carries her away until Al Snow cuts him off with a right hand and sends Terri back in the ring. The Kat knocks Terri down with a “modified football tackle” to be diplomatic and slams her head into the mat. They roll around before The Kat sends Terri down by the hair and rides her whilst spanking (what the hell is going on?) The Kat hits the Bronco Buster and Lawler gets jealous. Al Snow distracts the referee on the apron, which makes no sense because The Kat is setting up the Stinkface in the corner, Perry Saturn shoves her down though so it doesn’t matter. Terri Runnels gets some offense with a bulldog and sits down for a pin even though they don’t count, The Kat counters and clotheslines Runnels down as they get to their feet. The Kat slams Terri again but hits the canvas as she tries to sit on Terri. Terri Runnels drags The Kat to the corner by her hair but the Stinkface is cut off with a boot. An interesting referee bump as Terri headbutts him in the crotch, she hits Terri Runnels with Head as he’s turned away,

  Al Snow hits Saturn with Head on the floor as Terri is dragged to the corner. The Kat hits the Stinkface for the win.

WINNER: THE KAT

This was an effective cool down match, sex always sells and they had the seconds to keep things moving along. It wouldn’t fly in 2022 but it’s a part of the company at this moment in time, they didn’t get hurt and it was short. A 5-star match for a horny teenager but nothing for the  real wrestling, how little of it there was. [DUD] 1/10
