Before the match, Eric Bischoff is in his office, he tells Maria Kanellis that Maven may not be able to compete in the main event due to the
attack from Gene Snitsky, and Team Orton cannot get a replacement because he’s
hours from his first vacation in years. Oh
boy, this match leads in from Lita’s miscarriage storyline. I mean, when a forced
marriage isn’t a lowlight of a storyline, it may have gone too far. The promo
begins with Trish Stratus and Tyson Tomko approaching Lita in a backstage segment
sarcastically asking if she’s OK and ends with a voiceover of Trish saying Lita
will lose to [Trish] just like [Lita] lost her baby, because subtlty isn’t a strong
suit. Trish Stratus enters the match first. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are on
commentary for this match. JR says the first time women wrestled was in 1995,
but they actually had a match on the first show back in 1987. However in both
cases it was in a Traditional Survivor Series match. The champion mocks Lita as
she makes her way out, causing Lita to jump start the match with a right hand.
TRISH STRATUS © VS. LITA
(WWE Women’s Championship)
WWE Survivor Series 2004 (14th November
2004)
The bell rings and Trish Stratus fights back with a right hand, but Lita knocks her back into the corner, Lita grabs Trish by the face, taunting ber before a slap. I apologize to anyone that gor this far and expects a female Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat 1989. Lita follows with a kick to the gut and right hands in the corner, Trish decides to drop to her back, and Lita mounts her with punches. The champion is able to escape to the floor and Lita follows, but Trish kicks her in the gut and sends Lita’s head into the Raw announce table, but Lita sends her face first into the steel chair that always sits in the corner, which legitimately broke Trish’s nose. Lita picks up the ring announcer’s chair and the referee takes it off her, but decides not to take the second chair. Lita hits Trish with it and gets herself disqualified, ending the match.
WINNER: TRISH STRATUS (STILL WWE Women’s Champion)
After the match, Lita sends Trish’s face into the floor at ringside until the referee backs her away.
This wasn’t really a match, to
quote JR on commentary. Lita just beat Trish, with a couple of hope spots to
keep Trish strong. * ¼ but personally 1/10
