The Mexicools enter first, on ride-on lawnmowers, Super Crazy hands Carlos Cabrara a rake, which annoys Tazz, since he got nothing. The Blue World Order enter on blue big wheels (tricycles with larger front wheels, for those that don’t know. The match was made on WWE.com so you know exactly how important it is.
MEXICOOLS VS. BLUE
WORLD ORDER
WWE Great American Bash 2005 (24th July 2005)
An E-C-Dub chant starts as the Mexicools decide who will start for their team. Nova is picked to represent the bWo first in the match. They have to switch sides for, reasons? Before Juventud Guerrera starts the match, ducking behind Nova and tripping him, before taking a rest across the top rope and basking in his own glory before Keith Lee made it a thing. Juvi sends Nova across the ring, he blocks a hip toss attempt, so does Guerrera and he knees Nova in the ribs. Super Crazy tries to run interference but is cut off by Stevie Richards. Psicosis is dropped with a stiff-looking back elbow from Stevie and Nova, and Crazy is piled in the corner with Psicosis. Da Blue Guy makes his presence known in the match by fusing the two into the ring post with a running avalanche. Psicosis is sent over the top rope and barely misses one of the lawnmowers, Super Crazy is sent out too and the Blue World Order celebrate. The future Simon Dean is still legal for the bWo and Juventud is legal for the Mexicools, but Super Crazy is the first back in the ring. Nova stops him with the Hogan-like point, but the distraction allows Juvi to hit an amazing springboard heel kick to the back of Nova’s head. Nova is backed into the Mexicools’ corner, and knocked down with another spinning kick, Psicosis comes in for a double team, and the referee doesn’t allow the tag because of it. Juventud Guerrera takes control of Nova’s arm on the mat. He stomps and clubs at Nova, but he SuperNovas up, I guess? Getting to his feet through the shots and eating right hands, he fires back but can’t break up Juvi’s attack before he tags out.
Super Crazy snapmares Nova down and hits a running dropkick for a nearfall. Juvi tags in again, isolating Nova’s arm again, almost in an abdominal stretch. Nova is able to send The Juice into the ropes and hits a big boot. They both crawl to their corner and Juvi tags in Psicosis first, Nova is able to kick him away and tags in Richards, who knocks Crazy off the apron and then brings his attention to Psicosis with a back elbow and chops. Psicosis is sent across the ring into a back body drop. Juvi springboards into the ring but Richards ducks, causing him to eat shit and injure his knee. He hits Psicosis with a sidewalk slam and covers but Super Crazy breaks it up. Blue Meanie sends Super Crazy to the floor and follows him as Richards sends Psicosis from one corner to the other. Psicosis moves out of the way and Richards crotches himself on the middle turnbuckle (what was he even trying there?) Psicosis brings him down to the mat as Super Crazy has neutralised Meanie at ringside, he springs in the ring with an Asai moonsault ass the referee is distracted. Psicosis gets to the top rope and hits his leg drop for the win.
WINNER: (THE MEXICOOLS)
This was a pretty fun match for what it was. It just wasn’t
much. They didn’t have enough time to tell a real story, besides Nova gets his
ass kicked, The Mexicools got some pretty decent moves in, but it’s not missing
from anyone’s “best of” collection. [* ¾] 3/10.
