Marc Mero made his WWF debut saving Sable from Hunter Hearst-Helmsley. He then got injured in February 1997 and during his time away from the ring, Sable grew a following of fans. This caused jealousy in Mero and fractured their relationship. Back at Wrestlemania, Sable got the pinfall in their mixed tag team match against Goldust and Luna Vachon. The following night on Raw he sent Sable to the back.

Marc Mero lays down for Sable and she covers, the referee gets
to 2 before Mero rolls sable into an inside cradle to win the match.
WINNER: MARC MERO
Too short to really give a star rating to, it solidified Mero’s heel turn but it wasn’t needed for a pay-per-view and the heel wrestler and face valet is a strange combination to me. 2/10.
After the match, Mero
celebrates like he won the World Championship in the Wrestlemania main event
(actual, last match, main event) against The Undertaker. He tells Sable to get the
hell out of the WWF and sings her out of the ring before celebrating more.
Michael Cole is
backstage, he gets an interview with Sable. She says she can’t believe Marc Mero
would stoop this low before thanking her fans and saying goodbye.
