Michael Cole and Kevin Kelly are on commentary for this match. Test is representing The Union in this match. Cole puts Test over, then as soon as Kane's music hits he says Kane is his favourite. He's really fickle already and the pyro hasn't gone off yet.
TEST VS. KANE (King of the Ring qualifier)
WWF Heat (6th June 1999)
Test kicks Kane in the gut to start off and grabs a headlock, Kane sends him off the ropes, they collide with shoulder tackles but neither of them moves. Test rakes at Kane's face but gets dropped with a clothesline. Kane stomps him but misses the jumping elbow drop. Test gets some right hands in but Kane blocks a suplex and hangs Test over the top rope. Kane with an uppercut then he jumps from the top rope and clubs Test in the back, then chokes him on the mat. The referee tries to tell Kane about his plans for the summer but is chased from the ring. Test sends Kane over the top rope with a back body drop but Kane lands on his feet, he snaps Test's jaw off the top rope. Kane hits a clothesline from the top rope as Kelly and Cole are talking about the “Greater Power” which I'm presuming is the infamous “Higher Power”. Kane grabs Test for a chokeslam but Test is able to make it to the ropes, forcing a break.
Test gets a cheap shot with a knee to the gut. He hits Kane with a right hand and ducks a shot, Test gets a couple more in but Kane reverses an irish whip. Kane ducks early and Test hits a neckbreaker but Kane sits straight up. Test with more right hands in the corner, he chokes Kane and the referee tells him about some necklace he's buying his wife. Kane with a kick to the gut as he fights out of the corner. He sends Test's head into the turnbuckle and gets a few more shots in before sending Test across the ring. Kane hits a weak clothesline in what looks like miscommunication and sends Test back across the ring. Test hits a back elbow and ducks a clothesline, he sends Kane to one knee with a big boot. Test struggles to bring Kane up for a Pumphandle slam but Kane counters into a Tombstone for the win.
WINNER: KANE
Another short nothing match for a King of the Ring qualifier. There wasn't much to it, they just seemed to be killing time until the finish, although that alone does gain it the star. – As a match it's * but personally I'd rate it 0/10
Kane goes on to face Big Show at the pay-per-view
