ROAD DOGG VS. GODFATHER

Road Dogg walks out first. Kevin Kelly goes over his credentials as a former Intercontinental, Hardcore and tag team champion. He tells Godfather to get out to the ring. Where else would he go? He wants this King of the Ring place as much as Road Dogg. The crowd pops as Godfather's music hits. Michael Cole says there's something about Godfather that people love as the Hoes follow him out, with a straight face. Cole and Kelly talk about Steve Austin possibly announcing the name of the Higher Power tonight on Heat. Godfather encourages certain recreations he's known for on the mic before the bell rings.

ROAD DOGG VS. GODFATHER (King of the Ring qualifier)

WWF Heat (6th June 1999)

Godfather meets Road Dogg with a knee to the gut and a right hand clubs Road Dogg against the back. Road Dogg is sent off the ropes, he ducks a right hand and hits the shake rattle & roll punches. Road Dogg hits the ropes, then the canvas as Godfather sends him down with a sidewalk slam. Godfather boots at Road Dogg in the corner and sends him across the ring. He sets up for the Ho Train, but Billy Gunn has run down the ramp with a chair, Godfather runs into a chairshot by Gunn! Road Dogg covers for the win.

WINNER: ROAD DOGG

This match didn't have a chance to get going before the sudden end, but it was a pretty average qualifier..– As a match it's ½* but personally, I'd rate it 0/10

After the match, Billy Gunn starts stomping on Godfather, but Road Dogg chases him to the back.
