This match stems from the disaster of a match at Wrestlemania 27. Lawler teamed with his commentary and Hall of Fame colleague, Jim Ross at Extreme Rules to take on Cole and Jack Swagger. King enters the match first. Josh Matthews and Booker T are on commentary for this match. Michael Cole limps down to the ring wearing a suit, with a scrap of paper. He's not medically cleared to wrestle due to his athlete's foot becoming infected but the referee rips up his doctor's note.
JERRY LAWLER VS. MICHAEL COLE (Kiss my Foot)
WWE Over The Limit 2011 (22nd May 2011)
The bell rings and Jerry Lawler knocks Cole back into the corner and goes to town with right hands. Cole crawls across the ring but Lawler stops him from escaping, ripping his suit. Lawler stomps and brings Cole up to his feet, then hits him with a right. Jerry Lawler hits a dropkick! Lawler hits a dropkick! LUCHA LAWLER! Cole counters with some rope work, kind of. He crawls under the bottom one to get out of the ring. Michael Cole is able to send Lawler into the steps and the security wall. He removes his shoe and sock to show his “infected” foot to Lawler, but Lawler catches the kick and hits him in the midsection before using Cole as a battering ram into the Cole Mine. Jerry Lawler brings it back into the ring, he hits the fist drop from the middle rope and mercifully ends the match.
WINNER: JERRY LAWLER
This should have been the match at Wrestlemania. Instead they made a 3 match series out of it, 3 months to get to a 3 minute conclusion.– As a match it's * but personally I'd rate it 1.5/10
