This match follows Ron Bass' match with Black Bart, who was managed by JJ Dillon.
JAMES J DILLON VS. RON BASS (Bullrope match)
Starrcade 1985 (28th November 1985)
The bell rings whilst James J Dillon stomps on Ron Bass. The referee, dressed like a zookeeper, puts the other end of the rope around Dillon's wrist. He chokes Bass with his boot and hits him with the cowbell. He covers and gets 2, another shot with the cowbell knocks Bass down again, Dillon drops the bell onto Bass' forehead. JJ Dillon wraps the rope around Bass' throat, but that gives Ron Bass a second wind. Dillon tries to run away and beg off, but he can't. The first shot with a cowbell to Dillon causes him to bleed. Another shot knocks him down, Bass wraps the rope around Dillon's neck, keeping him in place for right hands. He hits the referee on the backswing as Black Bart hits the ring, Bass covers, not noticing the referee is down. Black Bart breaks up the cover and hits Ron Bass with a piledriver. He drags Dillon over Bass as the referee wakes up to make the count.
WINNER: JAMES J. DILLON
This was just a bit of fun to break the show up. Dillon jumps Bass, as Ron Bass evens things up more, Dillon takes the heat until Black Bart cheats to win. I'm not sure why the referee bump was needed though– As a match it's * but personally, I'd rate it 2/10
