BAM BAM BIGELOW VS. TYPHOON

Bam Bam Bigelow is already in the ring as Typhoon enters the match, Vince McMahon is on commentary with Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and Randy “Macho Man” Savage.

BAM BAM BIGELOW VS. TYPHOON
WWF Raw (10th May 1993)

They circle and lock up. BamBam Bigelow gets a headlock but is sent off the ropes, they collide with shoulder barges but neither man moves. Bigelow kicks him in the gut and goes back to the headlock, but is sent off the ropes. The shoulder blocks have no effect again, Typhoon kicks Bigelow in the gut and sends him off the ropes the third time and meet at a stalemate with the shoulder block. They kind of exchange right hands before a slam takes Bigelow off his feet. Typhoon works the arm wringer until Bigelow rakes his eyes and awkwardly slams him, following with an elbow drop but the falling headbutt misses. Typhoon goes back to the arm wringer and headbutts Bigelow down. Bam Bam gets to his feet in the armbar and breaks it with a right hand and a back suplex. Typhoon is quickly back to his feet and he sends Bigelow through the ropes with a clothesline. He follows Bigelow outside as he's getting back in the ring and Bigelow cuts off Typhoon with a shot on the apron and sends him headfirst into the ring post.

Bigelow keeps Typhoon out of the ring, sending him into the ring post again. Referee Bill Alfonso keeps Bigelow back but Typhoon beats the count back into the ring. Bigelow stomps at Typhoon and works a chinlock but Typhoon gets to his feet and rams Bigelow backward into the corner but Bigelow boots him before he can get too much respite. Bigelow goes back to the chinlock as we go to commercial, returning with Typhoon sending Bigelow into the corner. Bam Bam Bigelow evades the charge, sending Typhoon into the turnbuckles. Bam Bam Bigelow hits the Samoan drop and a diving headbutt to qualify for the tournament.

WINNER: BAM BAM BIGELOW

This wasn't a bad match. Two big guys colliding until one goes down for the three. It isn't pretty, it won't get 5 stars but it made Bigelow look good going into the tournament, the finish seemed sudden but that seems to be the formula for hoss matches to make them seem “even” in lore.– [*½] match but personally 1/10
