PENTAGON JR. VS. ARGENIS

Pentagon Jr enters first as Matt Striker goes over his recent opponents on commentary. Vampiro mentions that Argenis is a step up from those people. Argenis is part of the Urive Mexican wrestling family, which includes Mistico and Mini Murder Clown. Pentagon is motioning Argenis to the ring during his entrance.

MATCH 1: PENTAGON JR VS. ARGENIS

The bell rings, they circle and lock up. Pentagon forces Argenis into the ropes but a clothesline attempt is blocked, Argenis rolls through a monkey flip attempt and kicks Pentagon in the hamstring as he rolls through. Argenis' springboard moonsault is caught but he counters into a DDT for an early 2 count. Pentagon stands up into a superkick, rolling out of the ring to clear the cobwebs. Argenis vaults over the top rope and hits an Asai moonsault on the floor. Matt Striker mentions that NBA player EC Green is in the front row of the crowd as Argenis takes it back in the ring, he covers but Pentagon kicks out at 1. Pentagon gets in the referee's face, but Argenis cuts him off, bringing him back into the match. An irish whip is reversed sending Argenis into the corner but he sends Pentagon over to the apron as Striker mentions Pentagon's mean streak causing the wrestlers not want to face him. Vampiro adds that it isn't just the Lucha Underground roster, it's the whole wrestling world.

Meanwhile, Pentagon is standing on the middle rope on the outside, Argenis cuts him off with a slap and hits a headscissors from the top rope and covers for a close nearfall. Argenis complains to the referee as Striker and Vampiro mention Rick Knox's cast. Argenis is sent into the ropes but holds on and ducks a clothesline, superkick to Pentagon's gut before Argenis runs the ropes but is followed and Pentagon cuts off a handspring with a basement dropkick to Argenis. Pentagon removes his glove and gets a run-up for the overhand chop as the fans cant for him. He lifts Argenis overhead and sends him into the turnbuckles upside down, which Vampiro loves being the sadist he is. Argenis is sent into the turnbuckles from a torture rack position and it hit with a running dropkick to the back of the head. Pentagon drags Argenis away from the ropes and covers for 2. Argenis is sent into the ropes and runs into a superkick, rolling out to the apron. He ducks one clothesline over the ropes but Pentagon gets more momentum off the ropes and hits the second. Pentagon hits a running swandive senton over the top rope onto Argenis on the floor. Pentagon brings it back into the ring and hits a package piledriver on Argenis, but instead of going for the cover puts him in the vicious variation of an armbar and Argenis immediately gives up.

WINNER: PENTAGON JR.

This was a lot more than the squash matches we saw before. Argenis got a good time to shine and was able to look competitive against Pentagon Jr. The first since the intergender tag match in Episode 6. As a match it's ** but personally I rate it 4.5/10
