Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler are on commentary for

HUNTER
HEARST HELMSLEY VS. THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR
WWF
Wrestlemania 12 (31st March 1996)
The bell rings
as Hunter Hearst Helmsley attacks
Warrior with clubbing blows from behind. He has Warrior against the
ropes with punches but they don't have much effect on Warrior.
Warrior is sent off the ropes and ducks a right hand. Helmsley hits
the Pedigree but Ultimate Warrior stands
up! Warrior takes his jacket off at Helmsley hits him, Warrior drops
Helmsley with a right hand. A clothesline knocks Helmsley down,
Helmsley is down again with another clothesline. Three for three so
Ultimate Warrior hits a flying shoulder tackle. The Gorilla press
drop and running splash finish the match.
WINNER: THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR
This was a squash match to re-establish Warrior for
Ihis return to PPV after 3 ½ years.– [SQUASH] match but personally
3/10 for the reaction from the crowd. It also lasted longer than I
remembered, even if most of it was crowd work and entrances for the
match. The post match added a bit to just swing the score up for a
squash match.
After the match, Todd Pettingel introduces Marc Mero to
the WWF fans. Hunter Hearst Helmsley attacks Mero during the
interview and they brawl on the floor.
