Shane Douglas is backstage with 3-Live Krew. Konnan asks
B.G James where his head is at. BG tells Douglas it's not his
business. He says his loyalty is with Konnan and Ron Killings in the
3 Live Krew, making a connection with the third anniversary tonight.
Outlaw is in the past. We see a recap video of The Outlaw getting in
between the 3-Live Krew in recent weeks.
The Outlaw enters first, Mike Tenay mentions that his
is a one on one match and goes over the history of The Outlaw and BG
James as the New Age Outlaws in WWE. Don West is also there but doesn't speak for a while. Ron Killings enters the match,
which makes sense since he had the most problem with Outlaw in the video
THE OUTLAW VS. RON KILLINGS
TNA
SLAMMIVERSARY 2005 (19th JUNE 2005)
The bell rings and they circle before locking up. The
Outlaw backs Killings into the ropes and breaks clean. They lock up
again and Killings controls the left arm but Outlaw powers out with a
top wristlock into a hammerlock. Killings reverses it into one of his
own but it's broken with a back elbow. Outlaw gets a side headlock
and Killings is slow backing him into the ropes. Ron Killings sends
Outlaw across the ring but is knocked down with a shoulder tackle.
Ron Killings gets to his feet and ducks early for a back drop,
getting kicked in the face. Outlaw sends him across the ring but
Killings catches him with a headscissors. Ron Killings is introduced
to the top turnbuckle and Outlaw hits him with a right before
stomping him into the corner. The referee tells Outlaw to back off
and Killings pulls himself up to the top rope, waiting for The Outlaw
to turn around into a missile dropkick!
They fuck up a hip toss and the crowd boo, so The
Outlaw low blows Killings giving them a reason to. There was also a
feint “you both suck” chant. The Outlaw sends killings across the
ring but misses a Stinger splash, hitting the post. Ron Killings
drops him to his knees with rights so The Outlaw escapes to the
apron. Ron Killings reminds him that's where it started, sending his
head into the corner post again. The Outlaw drops to the floor,
avoiding a kick and making Killings crotch himself over the top rope.
There's been a lot of stalling in this match that I haven't
mentioned. Tenay and Don West are just avoiding talking about the
match too. Anyway Outlaw gets back in the ring and chokes Killings
over the middle rope before kicking him under the bottom rope to the
floor. The Outlaw follows and sends Truth's head into the ring steps.
Ron Killings sends Outlaw's head into a chair held by a fan because
fuck disqualifications. Outlaw cuts Killings off with a right and
takes it back into the ring. There is so much stalling in this match,
Outlaw is actually picking up the pace by snapmaring Truth down into
a chinlock.
Ron Killings gets to his feet and tries to break free
with elbows to the midsection, but Outlaw drops him with a response
to the back of the neck. Outlaw slams Truth into the mat but takes
too long getting to the middle rope and taunting Killings, dropping
down into the boot. We go to a commercial break during the
double-down. When we return Ron Killings starts to stir, backing
Outlaw into the corner with rights when they get to their feet.
Outlaw reverses an irish whip but Truth stops his momentum and jumps
back into Outlaw with a forearm. Killings is sent into another
corner, leapfrogging over Outlaw and dropping into a splits to duck
the clothesline. Outlaw avoids the ax kick and hits the Fame Asser!
The Outlaw says he's not pinning Truth yet, bringing him to his feet
and setting up a Cobra clutch. Ron Killings counters and rolls him up
for the win. Although it looked really shaky and commentary weren't
sure.
WINNER: RON KILLINGS
This was a trainwreck of a match. It was all stalling
work by Outlaw and the write-up makes it seem at most half the length
it lasted. There was a good story going into the match, with Outlaw
as the obvious heel, but he bashed us over the head with it. I didn't
hate him the way I should, I just wanted him off my screen. Ron
Killings was put over as a big part of TNA on commentary, whilst
simultaneously being shit on by the bookers and the agents. 1¼* I'd
rate the match 1/5
The Outlaw hits a Cobra clutch slam on Ron Killings
after the match and the fans chant one more time!” so Outlaw ups
the ante with a chair. BG James hits the ring, taking the chair off
The Outlaw. BG James can't bring himself to hit Outlaw as the fans
chant for New Age Outlaws, Outlaw turns around and Konnan jumps him
from behind. The Outlaw turns around and bails up the ramp. BG James
tells Konnan he was going to hit The Outlaw as 3LK leave.
