CAGE VS. ARGENIS VS. AEROSTAR VS. ANGELICO

The opening video recaps the Chavo Guerrero Jr and Blue Demon Jr story before looking at Prince Puma taking the fall in the 10 Lucha match last year, but becoming the first Lucha Underground champion in Aztec Warfare. Dario Cueto starts the show talking to Fenix. He is impressed with Fenix so far and sees big things in his future. Fenix says he fights for himself and to be the best when asked to destroy Prince Puma. Cueto knows this and says the match is for the Lucha Underground Championship. He can win the title, destroy Puma and embarrass Konnan in one go. Fenix leaves the office and we see the mysterious woman looking in through the window at Dario Cueto. Matt Striker and Vampiro welcome us from commentary, recapping that Prince Puma defends his Lucha Underground Championship against Fenix tonight. Also, after his return last week Blue Demon Jr confronts Chavo Guerrero Jr in the ring. But first we start with 4 debutants in The Temple.

The first Luchadore out goes by the name of Aerostar. He's been wrestling with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide since 2003 and trained by Abismo Negro (translated to Black Abyss) and Gran Apache (maybe like the helicopter?) His first opponent is Argenis who Vampiro calls a mixture of Dr. Wagner Jr and Silver King, a high compliment when heard by any Lucha fan. Angelico is the third man in the match, he's from South Africa. He received training from Ultimo Dragon once he left his native country in 2009 and is just out of his rookie AAA year. Matt Striker says he looks like a blend of X-Pac and Zack Sabre Jr. Completing the field is Brian Cage, working under just his surname. He weighs around the same as all three of his opponents combined. I see his name appear everywhere on the internet but instead of talking about his amazing career Matt just says he's the opposite of Lucha.

CAGE VS. ANGELICO VS ARGENIS VS. AEROSTAR (4 WAY ELIMINATION)

All four men are in the ring at the same time for this one. Argenis rushes Cage but is tossed back across the ring. Angelico gets ploughed down with a shoulder block and Aerostar is lifted overhead when he tries his luck then gets left to drop face first to the mat. Cage looks for amazement from the crowd turning his back on his opponents and they all rush him. Cage struggles to cover up, getting sent across the ring but he holds on to the top rope. Aerostar rushes first, eating a boot soon followed by Argenis who is sent over to the apron. Angelico says “let's go then, big man!” ducking a clothesline. The evil part of me wanted him to get decapitated for that. He sends Cage into the ropes where Argenis is waiting with a kick setting him up for a top-rope 619 by Aerostar. Wait.... What!? Cage turns around into Angelicos knee (Striker confuses crime organisations at this point) sending him out to the floor. Angelico catches Aerostar on a crossbody until they both go down from an Argenis missile dropkick.

Angelico and Argenis are left in the ring, Argenis gets sent across the ring before Angelico leapfrogs. Angelico rolls back to his feet as Argenis stops his momentum and kicks Angelico between the legs. Angelico takes a break on the floor thanks to an Argenis headscissors. Aerostar gets back in the ring, blocking an overhand chop. Angelico touches all the ropes on a springboard hurricanrana, booting Argenis into the ropes. Aerostar ducks a clothesline and bounces back off the ropes but is caught with a german suplex! Argenis covers but only gets a nearfall. He knocks Cage off the apron with a superkick as Aerostar rolls out, giving Angelico some ring time. He reverses an irish whip but Argenis is able to land perched on the top turnbuckle. Argenis kicks Angelico's clothesline attempt, pulling him in by the neck. Angelico hits an overhead kick knocking Argenis all the way to the floor. Angelico sees his opportunity and picks up speed RIGHT INTO CAGE! Angelico is dragged to his feet before Cage hits him with a torture rack into a neckbreaker.

Argenis has made his way to the top turnbuckle and is swiftly booted to the floor. Cage picks him up, climbing to the middle rope inside the ring to bring Argenis back in with a suplex. Aerostar climbs to the top rope from outside, Cage catches him with a delayed jackhammer and covers, but Aerostar's shoulder somehow goes up after 2. Cage charges Argenis in the corner but Argenis slips out to the apron. He kicks Cage and sends him out to the floor with a flying headscissors (Matt Striker keeps calling a hurrincarana and Frankensteiner the same thing and it's annoying me.) Argenis flies from the ring with a springboard moonsault to the floor on Cage. Angelico and Aerostar are left in the ring, Aerostar ducks a clothesline and Angelico follows but is hit with a 619 to the ribs. Aerostar springs off the middle rope falling back into Cage and Argenis. Angelico wants some of that “holy shit” chant Aerostar's getting so he launches himself over the corner post on to everyone!

The fans stop chanting but he does get a standing ovation, including from Vampiro at the announce desk. Angelico takes a well-deserved bow before sending Aerostar back in the ring. Aerostar ducks a clothesline, sending Angelico loopy in the corner with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. Angelico is sent across the ring but floats over, sending Aerostar into the corner with a dropkick. Argenis comes back to face off with Angelico, ducking a right hand before hitting him with an open hand slap. Angelico kicks at the legs and runs the ropes but gets caught in a standing spinebuster. Cage slides in the ring to eliminate Argenis with a pumphandle sitout facebuster. Aerostar can't get the momentum for a headscissors and Cage slams him to the mat like he's nothing. Aerostar eats a powerbomb before Cage lifts him back up and sends him into Angelico in the corner. A discus lariat sends Aerostar to the showers, leaving Angelico with Cage. Angelico is sent across the ring but rolls over Cage's back, Cage jumps over a kick attempt but is clocked in the head with a pendulum kick from the mat. I hope he enjoyed the momentum while it lasted, as he runs into a discus lariat by Cage that nearly takes his head off. Hey, I got my wish from earlier! Cage covers Angelico's corpse and wins the match.

WINNER: CAGE

I knew from the moment I saw him walk out that this would be an exhibition match to show what Cage can do. He just destroys Luchadores, that's all there is to it. He didn't have to do much so he didn't, mowing them down and throwing them around at will. Angelico got some shine with his crazy dive and Aerostar can work the ropes like no one I've ever seen. Argenis I need to see more of to get a true judgement.WORKRATE: 3.25/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 3.5/5 OVERALL: 6.75/10

Cage grabs the microphone and tells us he's called Cage because he's not a man he's a machine to lead us into the break.
