BLAKE & MURPHY VS. ENZO & CASS

Enz I left this event halfway through concluding with Rhyno's Pay-Per-View type match against one Baron Corbin, so it's time to finish it up this week (with a couple of bonus matches from Japan making their way here this week too. The challengers enter this match first, Enzo Amore is an awesome hype man for their team and was honestly wasted as a wrestler. He could have done any and all jobs in the industry that keep him behind the microphone but they gave us his "career" instead of playing wrestler. Carmella accompanies the popular team to the ring looking in Enzo's word "hot as hell" Collin Cassidy looks intimidating as and spells `soft' wrong because that's how the East Coast does things. Blake and Murphy's entrance is enough to cause an epileptic fit but if you can get through that they show they're a solid tag team for the division. Corey Graves, Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton are on commentary.

BLAKE & MURPHY © VS. ENZO & CASS (NXT Tag Team Championships)
NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable (20th May 2015)

Enzo Amore starts with Wesley Blake. Amore stalls before they lock up. Blake starts walking Amore to the ropes with ease, but Enzo escapes, rolling up Blake for a one count. Enzo Amore ducks a pair of clotheslines whilst running the ropes, sending Blake down with a crossbody. Enzo gets a nearfall, followed by another from a standing dropkick. Enzo brings Blake to his feet, applying a headlock but Blake backs Amore into the wrong corner, tagging out to Buddy Muphy. They chase Amore across the ring and Cass tags himself in. Blake realises his 5-seconds is (probably) up and conveniently bails to the apron. Murphy ducks under Cass' swing and chops him, but the sound effect was the only effect. Big Cass stalks Murphy to the corner, Murphy dodges out and hits another chop, but still, Collin Cassidy no-sells it. Cass follows Murphy across the ring again, this time catching him and throwing him back into the corner. Murphy gets the boot up to Cass' jaw, climbing on the middle rope but getting thrown across the ring on a tornado DDT attempt. Big Cass gets a nearfall from a bitch-slap.

Enzo Amore gets the tag, Big Cass holds Murphy in the corner and launches Enzo into Murphy in the corner. Enzo Amore lands on the apron, running across the ring for a flying crossbody and a nearfall. Enzo goes back out to the apron, decking Blake. Murphy charges into a shoulder to the gut, Blake is shaken off again but it gives Murphy time to recover and send Enzo to the floor with a clothesline. Wesley Blake gets back on the apron for the tag and rolls Enzo Amore into the ring. Blake quickly covers for 2. Blake hits a backbreaker and cranks back on Enzo's neck on the mat. He brings Enzo to the corner so he can tag out, Murphy hits Enzo in the ribs, wearing Enzo down with a chinlock, it takes Enzo a long time to get to his feet, but only a second to be slammed back down to the mat. Murphy takes Enzo back to the corner, stomping at him. Murphy misses a charge in the corner and his shoulder meets the ring post. Wesley Blake gets the tag from the double-down and stops Enzo in his tracks. He sends Enzo into the ropes and catches him in an abdominal stretch. Amore gets a flash roll-up but Blake grabs his trousers to stop the tag. Murphy gets the tag again and they hit a powerbomb and lungblower combination, Murphy covers but Enzo Amore kicks out at 2!

Buddy Murphy carries Enzo to the corner, placing his dead weight on the top turnbuckle. Enzo grabs the top rope to avoid a superplex, dropping Murphy to the mat. Enzo Amore flies from the top rope with a DDT! He tries to crawl to Cass, as Murphy crawls to his corner. They both get the tag, Cass is in hot, dropping them both with right hands in the middle of the ring. Stinger Splash hits Murphy but Blake avoids it, Wesley Blake runs into a boot. Big Cass sends Murphy over the top rope but he lands on the apron, a big boot sends him to the floor. Big Cass hits the Empire Elbow on Wesley Blake, but Murphy breaks up the pin at 2. Blake & Murphy double-team Cass but he breaks up a double clothesline attempt, Blake ducks Cass' clothesline but runs into a spinning sidewalk slam. He tags out to Enzo, dragging his lifeless body to the top rope. Alexa Bliss appears at ringside, attacking Carmella. Big Cass goes to check on her, leaving an unattended Amore. He checks on Carmella but Murphy blindsides him with a superkick on the floor. Enzo Amore gets his bearings on the top rope just in time for Bliss to trip him. Amore drops to the mat and Blake covers him for easy pickings.

WINNERS: BLAKE & MURPHY (STILL CHAMPIONS)

This match happened, for me. The fans were really into Enzo and Cass at this point, so screwing them out of the titles to keep the chase going works for me. Alexa Bliss adds a new dynamic, with her returning the favour to Blake & Murphy, possibly confirming a more regular alliance. Enzo kinda sucked though, he got a sick DDT but besides that pretty much got his ass beat until he found Cass. Big Cass being too cocky didn't work out either but because he's a face that doesn't matter. WORKRATE: 2/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 1/5 OVERALL: 3/10
