As we return from commercial break, we see Dario Cueto in the bathroom. All that money and he can't get one of his own? He's confronted by Johnny Mundo, who still wants the $100,000 bonus he's owed from the debut episode. He's going to get it no matter how many times Cueto sends Big Ryck after him. Dario Cueto says he can get Mundo the 100 grand in cash, but not if Mundo harms him. Mundo takes some sort of key from Cueto as insurance, just in case.
As we get back to the ring Vampiro and Matt Striker are on commentary Melissa Santos introduces Famous B, who has been wrestling in California for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla for the last 3 years and gets a jobber entrance tonight. Mil Muertes makes his entrance with Catrina, as usual, holding The Philosopher's Stone. Vampiro says Muertes is only thinking about how he can hurt Famous B tonight. Vampiro uses some Spanglish to get that point across which is pretty cool. Muertes kneels on the Lucha Underground symbol, and Striker speculates there's some power in that symbol that Muertes is trying to summon. The fans are firmly behind Muertes as he prepares for the match.
MATCH 2: MIL MUERTES VS. FAMOUS B
Muertes charges straight away, forcing the bell to ring. He knocks down Famous B and stomps him on the ground. He drags him over to Catrina who hot shots the back of his neck off the bottom rope from ringside. Matt Striker reminds us that on most occasions the throat is the target in that move. I thought Famous B was wearing a doo-rag, but it could be his cornrows. I was about to give him credit for keeping it on throughout the beating too. Muertes sends him to the corner before forcing him across the ring into the turnbuckles, shaking it slightly. Famous B gets his boots up on a charge but Muertes telegraphs it, shoving Famous B's legs to the side and slamming him back first into the mat. Mil Muertes stalks from the corner hitting a vicious spear on Famous B! Muertes brings Famous B back to his feet, although by the time Famous B realises he gets dropped with a Flatliner to end it.
WINNER: MIL MUERTES
Another week, another showcase for Mil Muertes. That spear at the end was brutal and Famous B didn't have a chance from the opening bell. Although I like the look of his character and it makes me want to see more of his work. WORKRATE: 3/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 2.25/5 OVERALL: 5.25/10
Mil Muertes brings Famous B to his feet and holds him in place for a Lick of Death from Catrina. A new way of doing it I guess.
