Big Ryck and Dario Cueto are in the office, finalising Ryck's exclusive big-money contract for Lucha Underground. Ryck makes sure his bonus is in cash as they sip champagne. As we get to the ring Ivelisse has a mic. She says Lucha Underground has made a joke of Son of Havoc, having him face a woman and half a man. I mean OK, but you're a woman too... They didn't sign a 7-year contract for this, they would be in Nashville if they knew this would happen. Yeah... That wouldn't do you much good either in all honesty. Son of Havoc sends out an open challenge to the back. This brings out Pimpelina Escarlata. For those that don't know he's an Exotico character (read: effeminate) and Ivelisse isn't happy with the referee over his entrance. Matt Striker and Vampiro go over the Exotico culture, name-dropping Gorgeous George as the first man to make a living from the gimmick. Vampiro says Escarlata has been doing it since the 80's and is a big reason for the revival and popularity of the culture. As evidenced by his reaction in The Temple. He dances with a reluctant Ivelisse as he gets in the ring.
MATCH 1: SON OF HAVOC VS.PIMPELINA ESCARLATA
Son of Havoc jump starts the match but Escarlata fights out of the corner with overhand chops, he walks the ropes and dives onto Ivelisse with a crossbody. Son of Havoc goes prone but trips Escalarta on his second journey. He chops Escarlata in the corner, sending him across the ring as Ivelisse cheers on. Son of Havoc hits a jumping forearm in the corner. Escarlata is sent back across but avoids the charge. An overhand and backhand chop follow before Escarlata sets up Havoc for a kiss in the corner, but decides against it, Son of Havoc reverses an irish whip but Escarlata climbs over to the apron, Son of Havoc runs into a shoulder block. Pimpelina Escarlata climbs to the top rope and sends Son of Havoc out to the floor with a flying arm drag and following him with a running somersault senton from the apron!
Back in the ring, Escarlata hits a missile dropkick, bringing Ivelisse up to the apron. Pimpelina Escarlata is caught with a hip toss into the corner but kicks out at 2. Havoc keeps control on the mat, choking Escarlata in the ropes. The referee backs him off giving Ivelisse a chance to get a choke in from ringside. Pimpelina reverses an irish whip from corner to corner and charges but gets sent over the top rope to the floor. Ivelisse is right on him with boots at ringside. Dragging him into place for Son of Havoc to drop an elbow hanging from the ring post. Striker thinks it looks cool, but Vampiro says there's no need for it. Son of Havoc sends Pimpelina back to the ring, hitting a cartwheel back elbow in the corner. Pimpelina avoids a springboard cross body, Son of Havoc slides under the bottom rope from his own momentum, Son of Havoc is ready for Pimpelina with a shoulder block through the ropes, but he can't get him over for a sunset flip “be careful, somebody might lose an eye” - Vampiro.
Ivelisse brings Pimpelina over with an assist and Havoc gets a close nearfall. Son of Havoc tries to hip toss Pimpelina using Pimpi's injure arm but he counters it into one of his own with his good side. Ivelisse makes her way in the ring and gets a hip toss too. Mascarita Sagrada is here! He chases Ivelisse around ringside and through the ring, crawling under Son of Havoc's legs to avoid him. In all the commotion Pimpelina Escarlata gives Son of Havoc the kiss and rolls him up for the three!
WINNER: PIMPELINA ESCARLATA
This was an interesting match, Pimpelina Escarlata is clearly an amazing worker, he plays to his character well without it being too much, and for someone that I would guess is mid-forties at the youngest, moves really well. I'm still concerned where this could go with Son of Havoc, I think he kinda got the short straw with this storyline. Serviceable for what it was though. WORKRATE: 3/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 3/5 OVERALL: 6/10
Pimpelina Escarlata and Mascarita Sagrada dance in the ring to celebrate.
