KING CUERNO VS. DRAGO

Our next match is a rematch from two weeks ago. King Cuerno vs. Drago. We see footage of King Cuerno attacking Drago after his match with Mil Muertes last week,  leading to an awesome video package for Drago. Matt Striker and Vampiro are of course at the commentary table as we return, with Drago already in the ring. King Cuerno glides to the ring, getting ready in his own time.

KING CUERNO VS. DRAGO

The fans are behind Drago at the beginning of this match, and so's the turnbuckle, as King Cuerno directs him towards it with a running leg drop! Cuerno stomps at Drago and after the quick-paced start, Matt Striker calls it reminiscent of a lion stalking a gazelle slowly... What? He takes Drago over to the corner, but Drago slides to his knees to avoid a collision with the corner, he sends Cuerno into the corner and gets sent overhead to the apron. Drago blocks a right hand, hitting one of his own and springboards in with a hurricanrana. Striker doesn't know the difference between a Frankensteiner and a hurricanrana... Although the headscissors and hurricanrana look the same to me so we all have faults. Drago uses his speed and is almost caught in a hip toss, but he uses the top rope to bounce back into the ring. King Cuerno has a decent pace to him as well and he catches Drago off guard with a running double knee to the chest!
Drago tries to get his lungs working again as Cuerno decides on his next move. He kicks Drago's ribs and brings him to his feet. Drago is sent across the ring, Cuerno goes prone and hits a dropkick on Drago's way back for a nearfall. The Mystery Woman is back from Son of Havoc's match with Mascarita Sagrada last week. She doesn't look pleased. Vampiro thinks Striker's been getting her the tickets. As if Matt Striker would have that much pull! Drago tries to get some momentum going, springboarding off the middle rope but gets caught in a fireman's carry. Drago is able to push himself free, clipping at Muertes' knee with a basement dropkick, sending Cuerno out of the ring with another running dropkick in a seated position. Drago this time stalks Cuerno from inside the ring as the latter clears the cobwebs. Drago springs over the top with a no-hands swan dive to Cuerno on the floor! The mystery woman walks off in disgust as Drago brings Cuerno back into the ring, but the fans love it chanting “Lucha” for the match so far. One against many here.

Drago kicks Cuerno in the gut and hits a modified blockbuster (flipping over Cuerno with a neckbreaker) but it can only get him 2. Cuerno drags the referee down to the mat and takes a breather. Matt Striker commends the referee for using his discretion to not call a disqualification. Drago flies out of the ring with a twisting plancha (seriously, these guys get the height to clear the ropes at a ridiculous accuracy) knocking Cuerno down. Matt Striker calls it a Firefly. Whatever it's called Striker tells us not to try it at home, so now I have to take down my wrestling ring in my front room. Fucking party pooper. Drago brings Cuerno back in the ring. King Cuerno reverses an irish whip, Drago comes back with an arm drag taking Cuerno down. He still has hold of it and tries a submission, no he rolls through for a cover like he beat Cuerno last time but can't hook Cuerno's ankle, only getting him a nearfall! Cuerno sends Drago out of the ring with an enziguri and follows with a tope through the ropes! King Cuerno brings Drago back to the ring and allows him to his feet, watching and salivating. Drago is lifted onto Cuerno's shoulders and is ended with Thrill of the Hunt, the same move that put him down last week.

WINNER: KING CUERNO

This was a good way to work a quick rematch. They both got a lot of work in, Drago's speed was able to work to his advantage when he had a chance but it was King Cuerno's match to win. He got the win back and it was more decisive than Drago's was over him. Cuerno learning from the last match added a nice little layer to it and Cuerno showed he wasn't afraid to use the same ariel offence as Drago in this match. As for the Mystery Woman, I don't know how long it will take for everything to fall into place there, but I hope it isn't too long. WORKRATE: 3.25/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 3.5/5 OVERALL: 6.75/10

Drago tries to kick at Cuerno after the match from the mat but to no avail. King Cuerno lets us all know that the hunt's just begun.
