This was the first match of the event and my first look at both these guys. The opening video package just shows off the card for tonight before we jump straight into the action. “Flash” Morgan Webster enters first as we are welcomed on commentary by Oliver Bennet. Webster has a Mod gimmick, which was a clique over here back in the 1950's. He unsuccessfully challenged for Dunne's championship a few weeks ago and gets another shot here tonight. “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne only recently won the championship though. OK... He now has a contract with WWE on their when-launched UK brand and NXT. I hope they don't have too much pyro tonight, I don't think York Hall can take it. The fans lovingly call Pete Dunne a wanker and Flash Morgan agrees as both men are checked for weapons and we await the bell.

Webster uses his agility, getting back in the ring and hitting Dunne with a running somersault senton over the top rope!
I really hate that the walkway doesn't go all the way to the ring when guys dive that way, I've seen those steps become lethal. Flash Morgan Webster sends Dunne into the ring but spends too long soaking in the crows. Dunne hits him with a forearm and brings him in the ring with a DDT through the ropes. That didn't sound pretty, but it's effective enough for a nearfall. Pete Dunne stomps Morgan Webster and taunts the crowd before a rough slam and double knee drop get him another nearfall. They get to their feet in opposite corners, Morgan Webster charges and Dunne sends him overhead. Of course, he lands on the apron, and he blocks a right hand before sending Dunne into the turnbuckle. Morgan Webster vaults back in the ring, springing off the middle rope with a moonsault! Dunne is knocked down, but the momentum took Flash Morgan Webster across the ring.
Flash Morgan Webster hits Pete Dunne with the Brit-Pop Drop (fireman's carry into neckbreaker across the knee) and the commentators tell him to cover. Flash Morgan Webster has too much adrenaline pumping though and points up high. He slides himself out of the ring and makes his way to the corner, with the fans all behind him. He makes it to the top rope, but Pete Dunne scurries to the corner to avoid the 450 splash. Flash Morgan Webster sends Dunne's head off the top turnbuckle and jumps down to the mat over Dunne, he springboards back off the second rope but is caught with a forearm! Flash Morgan Webster hurt his ribs on that, and they've been giving him issues lately. He's really slow to cover Dunne and the champion kicks out at the last second. Flash Morgan Webster can't lift Dunne, so Dunne sends him over with a back body drop. Morgan Webster tries to roll through but Dunne sits down for a nearfall. Flash Morgan Webster ducks a clothesline and springs back into a reverse hurricanrana! Flash Morgan Webster misses a 630 (he went well over and landed on his back) Pete Dunne takes advantage with the Time to Drop Dead and Bennet confirms that Pete Dunne Retains along with the three count.
WINNER: PETE DUNNE (STILL RPW BRITISH CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION)
This match was pretty crazy, in the best way. They didn't let up the pace, Dunne used his size to beat the hell out of Morgan Webster without slowing the match down and the crowd were in total sympathy for Morgan Webster. I bit on the 450 across the back sequence and Pete Dunne seriously impressed me in this match. I want to see more of Flash Morgan Webster to get a proper opinion of him, but I just want to see the Bruiserweight hurt people. The only thing I disliked was Flash Morgan Webster's dependency on the 450 splash in the match really. – WORKRATE: 4/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 2.75/5 OVERALL 6.75/10
Back to the US for the last two matches this week, with a TNA and ROH match in the pipeline. After which I will count my wrestlers again and go back to WWE and WCW for some October Pay-Per-View matches.
