As we return from another
commercial break Son of Havoc and Iveliesse are in the ring, Chavo
Guerrero Jr. is their first opponent and all through his entrance
Striker and Vampiro are of course talking about how famous the
Guerrero name is in Mexico and how beloved Chavo's uncle Eddie was.
Sexy Star is Chavo's partner and she enters to an awesome reaction
from the crowd. Matt Striker tells us that in Lucha there's no guy vs
guy/girl vs girl only rule. Son of Havoc got a cheap win over Sexy
Star last week, where as Chavo faced Blue Demon Jr. It's Ivelisse's
Lucha Underground debut. Striker reiterates that The Temple is here
for anyone to try their hand.
MATCH
2: SON OF HAVOC & IVELISSE VS. CHAVO GUERRERO JR. & SEXY STAR
Chavo and Havoc's offspring start, with Chavo getting
the early advantage with mat wrestling, getting behind Son of Havoc
and snapmaring him down into a chinlock. Matt Striker goes through
the Guerrero family tree as Son of Havoc gets to his feet and sends
Chavo off the ropes. Chavo holds on to the ropes and Son of Havoc
pulls off a perfect back flip mid-ring. Son of Havoc runs into a boot
and Chavo swings him around by his beard, forcing him to regroup with
Ivelisse. Havoc nails Chavo with a right hand and chops him against
the ropes, Chavo reverses another irish whip and kicks Havoc in the
gut but runs into a knee to the kidneys from Ivelisse on the apron,
Havoc catches him off guard with a running knee strike and he tags
out. Ivelisse stomps on Chavo in the corner and Chavo finds it in him
to shove her away, but Son of Havoc keeps him in the corner. Sexy
Star almost in to help her tag partner but the referee keeps her on
the apron. Ivelisse roundhouse kicks Chavo in the chest as he drops
to his knees, enziguri from Ivelisse leads to a cover, but Chavo
kicks out at 1.
Chavo's really having the ring cut in half on him
here, as Son ofHavoc tags back in. He shoulder barges Chavo in the
corner and sends him across the ring but ducks too early, Chavo kicks
him and knocks him down with a clothesline before making a tag to
Sexy Star just as Matt Striker was talking about her wanting
redemption for last week. Sexy Star flies at Son of Havoc with a
flying headscissors before ducking a clothesline, second clothesline
avoided via matrix and she hits a superkick. Another big boot
staggers Son of Havoc but he follows her across the ring and runs
full speed into a back elbow. Son of Havoc drags Sexy Star over to
his own corner to tag out. Ivelisse slams her head against the
canvas, Chavo keeps the referee's attention as Ivelisse covers, so
she chokes Sexy Star instead. The referee finally gets over there to
assist Sexy Star, and as both women get to their feet we get a
SLUGFEST! Vampiro says none of these women have reached for their tag
team partners because they want to prove they can do it without them.
Sexy Star wins the slugfest, attacking Ivelisse with a flurry of
forearms and a leg kick, Ivelisse reverses an irish whip and hits a
superkick knocking Sexy Star down. Ivelisse drags Sexy Star over to
Son of Havoc who's calling for the tag. Son of Havoc takes too long
to set up a standing moonsault but it hits knees!
Sexy Star crawls to Chavo for the tag and he knocks
Son of Havoc down with a clothesline, and a shoulder block sends him
down again. Chavo sends Son of Havoc from one corner to the other and
hits a rolling heel kick. Chavo covers but Ivelisse breaks it up at
2. Sexy Star is in to even the odds, sending Ivelisse to the mat with
a flying headscissors again, they fluff a catfight and Sexy Star
sends Ivelisse out of the ring, following her with a double-knee
attack off the apron. Chavo and Son of Havoc are finally back on
their feet, I missed what happened with them and Son of Havoc hits a
standing enziguri, but runs into a dropkick by Chavo! Chavo climbs to
the rop rope and hits a frog splash, he tags out to Sexy Star and she
rolls Son of Havoc up, 1, 2, 3!
WINNERS: CHAVO GUERRERO JR & SEXY STAR
Two out of three matches this week in Lucha
Underground have rolled on from last week's episode, with Sexy Star
getting her win back on Son of Havoc, Chavo being rebuilt after last
week and this match helped show Son of Havoc and Ivelisse as a pair
that will do anything to win, and trying to use their familiarity
with each other to their advantage against Sexy Star and Chavo
Guerrero Jr, two great talents in their own right, but singles
talents not a package deal like Son of Havoc and Ivelisse. The match
was decent enough not counting the fumble of a catfight and I enjoyed
the match. 3.5 Wrestling 4/5 Personal Enjoyment 7.5/10 Overall

Sexy Star and Chavo celebrate their victory for the
roaring crowd as Ivelisse takes her man to the back. Sexy Star even
does the Guerrero shuffle on the middle turnbuckle as “Eddie”
chants take us into the commercial break.
