Handling commentary tonight is Jerry "The King"
Lawler and Michael Cole, and this match is for the Raw Brand.
Cole asks King about strategy and King says stay out
of the way and try and make an alliance. Regal decides instead to
throw Hardy into the lions' den and MVP and Kingston start beating
him down. MVP catches Regal with a back elbow as Regal tries to sneak

Matt Hardy clotheslines MVP down and hits a Side Effect on Regal for
another nearfall. Matt has a broken hand in this match but it doesn't
seem to be hindering him too much. He scoop slams MVP and hits a leg

hair! Regal knocks MVP out of the ring with a running knee and
suplexes Hardy overhead. Regal tries to throw Kingston out but he
caught himself, Trouble in Paradise! Kingston covers, 1, 2, 3!
WINNER: KOFI KINGSTON (STILL WWE UNITED STATES
CHAMPION)
I picked this match because it had four very
differemt performers, MVP was the flash and opportunistic man in the
match, Kingston gave us the "holy shit" moments, William
Reegal was the veteran that only got involved when it suited him and
Matt Hardy was the mix of popular name and veteran. Regal looked like
a badass in his moments and just threw people around, but being the
older competotor he let the other guys get most of the shine,
unfortunately he seemeed to be there to take the fall. The most vocal
thing about this match is that there isn't a lot to say about it. –
Rating: 3.5/10
Next week I shall be looking at three matches from the three tag teams that revolutionised tag team wrestling at the back end of the Attitude Era, Edge & Christian, the Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz, with the rule being that the other two teams can not be involved in the match.
