Before the match, Jeremy Borash interviews Robbie E backstage. He says he tried to help “Big Rob” but all that happened was Robbie E got held back, so it’s a tag team breaking up match again. The BroMans were together around 2 years though, so that’s something. Robbie E gets heat with an exaggerated Texan accent for the San Antonio crowd and walks off so we can cut to the video package. “Big” Rob Terry gets called Robbie T on the graphic and it’s what commentary calls him before he enters. The arena looks like this match was booked on the UK Tour. Robbie E makes his way out. This was the era of the raised platform, Robbie E bails from the ring as Robbie T steps through the ropes.
Mike Tenay, Taz, and Tod Kenely are on commentary for this match
ROBBIE E VS. ROBBIE T
TNA Lockdown 2013 (10th March 2013)
Robbie E begs out through the ropes as the bell rings, calling for a time out. He apologises and tries to hug it out with Robbie T.
The crowd chant for the hug, but Robbie T isn’t interested, shoving Robbie E across the ring. Again Robbie E sticks his head out through the ropes, begging off before stretching to waste time. Robbie E celebrates as he grabs a headlock, but Robbie T powers out with a top wristlock, shoving Robbie E back down. Robbie E shoots for a single-leg and is sent over with a gutwrench before crawling out to the apron. Robbie E catches Big Rob in the knee, Robbie E hits the ropes but runs into a free-fall flapjack. Robbie T misses a charge in the corner, Robbie E lays into him with strikes, just connecting with whatever he can.
Robbie T goozles Robbie E, who fights out of it with multiple strikes. Robbie E connects with overhand chops and runs to the apron, the referee keeps Robbie T back, Robbie E snaps Big Rob’s arm over the top rope as he closes the gap and gets back in the ring for a chop block. Robbie E hits a dropkick and covers but Robbie T kicks out before one. Robbie E works the left arm before Robbie T carries him around the ring while in a sleeper hold. Robbie T drops to one knee, Robbie T gets back to his feet before he fades. Robbie E jumps on his back but is squished into the corner. Robbie T runs into Robbie E’s boots but catches his dive from the middle rope. Robbie E escapes the scoop slam but runs into a back elbow and a clothesline.
Robbie T slams his former Bro, I’m running out of ways to call this, as it’s already too repetitive but it’s fine as Robbie T hits the fireman’s carry into a standing Spinebuster for the win.
WINNER: ROBBIE T
This match did not need to be on PPV. Robbie T had only 2 years in the ring and his offense was basic, He was better for tag team matches at this point. Robbie E did well with Big Rob’s limitations and the match did make him look dominant with what he could do without overexposing him, but it could have done with a couple of minutes shaved off, and being on television. [*¼] 2.5/10
