JAMES STORM & JACKIE MOORE VS. PETEY WILLIAMS & GAIL KIM

   Before the match, we get the text-voting gimmick for who wins tonight’s main event. JB says it’s completely free but the small print clarifies that standard network charges will apply. Jeremy Borash is with Rhino. Rhino says he is scared before his Elevation X match tonight (think a scaffold match with a TNA Twist) but he accepted the challenge because he’s a man. That has to be on the list of reasons why women live longer. He’s going to focus on the match and try not to make mistakes. 

 There isn’t much going into this bullrope match, Gail Kim and Jackie Moore were in an arm-wrestling match the previous month, and Storm & Rhine have crossed paths in matches a couple of times this year. James Storm had recently broken up his team with Chris Harris, America’s Most Wanted. Tenay and West run down the rest of the card with some graphics. James Storm and “The Pride of Tennessee” Jackie Moore enter first, they beat Kim and Williams last month at Against All Odds. So I guess there was more than I thought in the build-up. Williams and Storm will have one bullrope attached to their wrists, Jackie Moore and Gail Kim will be attached to each other using a separate one. Gail Kim and Petey Williams also enter the match together

JAMES STORM & JACKIE MOORE VS. PETEY WILLIAMS & GAIL KIM 

(Double Bullrope) 

TNA Destination X 2007 (11th March 2007) 

  The bell rings as Jackie Moore jumpstarts the match, followed by James Storm. Williams and Kim fight back, hit stereo slams, and choke Team Tennessee with the bullropes. Gail Kim chops Jackie in the corner before Team Tennessee is sent into each other.

Petey Williams holds James Storm so Kim can slap him and pulls him down to the mat. Storm and Moore try to walk out of the match, Gail Kim pulls Jackie into the ring post but James Storm is able to get the best of Williams on the floor with right hands. Gail Kim slams Moore on the ramp as Petey Williams attacks James Storm from behind and knocks him into a chair on wheels, Gail Kim rakes Storm’s eyes and pushes the chair into a clothesline from Petey Williams.

Gail Kim ties Jackie Moore to the ring post and chops her chest. There’s some uncomfortable commentary from Mike Tenay as we switch to the men as Williams pulls James Storm into the ring post. James Storm ties the referee up back in the ring and uses the confusion to get a shot in on Petey Williams. Jackie Moore is fighting back from the ring post, knocking Gail Kim down. James Storm knocks down Williams with a back elbow as the fans chant “Brokeback Cowboy” the movie was 2 years old at this point, but the chant was still tiresome. Storm ties up Williams in the ring ropes by the ankles and he stomps Williams. James Storm covers but it doesn’t matter because Williams is tied into the ropes. Gail Kim sends Jackie Moore’s head into the ring post as Williams has got to his feet on the apron. Jackie Moore whips Gail Kim with the bullrope and kicks her as Storm hits the Eye of the Storm on Williams for 2 in the ring.Jackie Moore fights back on the floor as Petey Williams counters a Canadian Destroyer with a backdrop. Gail Kim uses the rope against Jackie Moore’s forehead as Petey Williams starts using his rope as whip.

Petey Williams pulls on the bull rope and James Storm walks into a shot to the chest. Gail Kim and Jackie are still at the ring post as Williams calls for the Canadian Destroyer, he pulls on the rope to bring James Storm in, James Storm tries to cut off Williams with a kick but it’s caught. Petey Williams pulls the rope into Storm’s crotch, flipping him to the mat. It looks like the brawl has freed Jackie Moore at some point, but she can’t escape Gail Kim’s forearms. Petey Williams hits a guillotine DDT! James Storm kicks out after 2, Gail Kim brings Jackie back in the ring, knocking her down with running clotheslines and back elbows. Gail Kim hits a back suplex as Don West says it’s like watching two guys fight. Gail Kim ties the rope around Jackie’s throat but she gets sent off into the ropes. Gail Kim knocks her down with a shoulder tackle but goes down from exhaustion. That brawl near the ring post must have taken a lot out of her. Petey Williams brings Storm back to the ring using the bullrope.

Petey Williams ducks the Superkick, Jackie Moore low blows Petey before he can hit the Canadian Destroyer, which leaves him open to another Superkick from James Storm. It’s enough to get the 3 even though it looked like Gail Kim got there in time to break the pin. 

WINNERS: JAMES STORM & JACKIE MOORE 

 This match was incredibly basic, which is a compliment. I think the bullrope may have limited what the men wanted to do but Gail Kim and Jackie Moore seemed to use it as an excuse for a night off. They could have had an almost identical match without the bullrope. [*½] 2/10
