Before the match, Sting is backstage with Christy Hemme, he says he made himself the Special Guest Enforcer to make sure that everyone is on their best behaviour. He’s glad to be in the Impact Zone and he’s gonna make it a clean-cut match which pretty much guarantees some kind of fuck-finish.
We go to a video package for the build up to the match. Bobby Roode has been able to walk away with the TNA Championship in recent weeks, and there hasn’t been a clear #1 contender, so all three people get a chance at the title in a 4-way single fall match. Bobby Roode says he has been dominant since winning the title belt. We’re shown the tale of the tape to waste some more time before Sting enters to a loud reaction. Bully Ray is the first participant out, this is during his “calfzilla” phase, he’s followed by James Storm. Jeff Hardy completes the set of challengers leaving the Champion to join them for the in-ring introductions. Bully Ray snatches the microphone and does his own introduction as Hemme 75% of her work.
Bobby Roode tells Bully Ray that they can work together, but Bully Ray doesn’t look like he’ll be taking up the offer.

Bobby Roode is still trying to convince Bully Ray that they can work together as the bell rings. Bully Ray leaves the ring and crosses his arms. James Storm strikes first, playing pong with the Champion, with Jeff Hardy on the other side.
Bobby Roode is knocked down, Jeff Hardy hits a sitout front suplex, Storm follows with a face smash on to his knee and a running neckbreaker. Storm and Hardy double-team Roode in the corner before asking if Bully Ray wants to involve himself in the match, but Bully Ray politely declines. James Storm sends Roode into the corner and Jeff uses his back for the Poetry in Motion. I never expect that to work in a free for all match. James Storm sends Roode across the ring, Jeff goes to send Storm into Roode but James Storm rolls Hardy up for 2, with Jeff evening it up immediately. Bobby Roode has made it to the top turnbuckle, but Hardy and Storm bring him back down to the mat. It’s confirmed at this point that Jesse Sorensen has a neck injury from the first match tonight.
Bully Ray takes his chance to enter this match, knocking Hardy & Storm down with clotheslines as Bobby Roode gets to his feet. We get a commercial break but nothing’s cut. Bobby Roode is still sure that they will work together until Bully Ray hits him with a side slam. James Storm breaks up the pin. Jeff is knocked from the apron by Bully Ray, James Storm catches Bully with right hands but gets sent off the ropes. Storm knocks down Bully and Roode. James Storm hits a Russian Leg sweep on his Beer Money, Inc. Partner, he avoids a slam from Bully and hits a backstabber for 2! Storm meets Bully Ray in the corner with a right hand, Storm sends Bully off the ropes but ducks too early, Bully Ray tries a double clothesline on Storm and Roode but eats a double suplex. Beer Money tease the crowd, but Roode hits his former takes a cheap shot, starting a slugfest. Roode reverses an irish whip and gets knocked down by Storm. Roode is sent into the corner, he walks out into a back body drop but gets his boots up to Storm. Jeff Hardy makes another appearance, meeting Roode with a back elbow and a Whisper in the Wind. Jeff hits Storm with a sitout jawbreaker but then gets decapitated by a Bully Ray boot.
Bully Ray falls onto Hardy with a headbutt, Bully hits the ropes for a running elbow drop, then 2 more before covering Hardy. Jeff kicks out at 2 so Bully Ray covers again, another 2. Bully Ray knocks James Storm off the apron which gives Hardy a chance to fight back with right hands, Jeff hits the ropes but runs into a back body drop. Bully Ray does some more cardio before a jumping splash for 2. Bully takes Jeff to the corner and connects with overhand chops. Jeff Hardy is set up on the top turnbuckle, Bully Ray climbs to the middle rope and hits a superplex for 2. James Storm sends Bobby Roode into the ring steps, Bully kicks Storm through the ropes and tells Roode to get to the top rope. Bobby Roode takes too long and James Storm connects with kick to Roode, knocking him off balance. Jeff trips Bully and hits a legdrop to the “lower abdomen” They both focus their attention to Roode, sat on the turnbuckle. The camera goes to the Tower of Doom angle as Bully Ray appears in the shot. Bully Ray powerbombs Storm and Hardy who superplex Roode to the mat to a holy shit chant from the crowd.
Bully Ray goes for a cover on each opponent but can only get 2. Bobby Roode hits Storm with a fireman’s carry flapjack. Jeff Hardy hits the Twist of Fate on Roode, but is caught with a full-nelson sitout bomb from Bully Ray. Referee Brian Hebner got knocked down in the chaos. Bully Ray gets a frustrating visual win, Jeff Hardy hits Bully with a Twist of Fate for a visual win too, Bobby Rooode spears Jeff Hardy but is caught with a Codebreaker from Storm, although he doesn’t call it that. Last Call from James Storm, but Bully Ray pulls Hebner out of the ring to break the count. James Storm aims for Bully Ray with a plancha but takes Brian Hebner out again because we need two consecutive referee bumps. Bully Ray gets in the ring, he tries to clothesline Jeff Hardy, but Hardy ducks and Bully runs into a Spinebuster by Roode! Jeff Hardy hits a Twist of Fate on the champion and sets up the Swanton Bomb, but Bobby Roode rolls out to the floor leaving Hardy to hit the canvas. Bobby Roode grabs his title belt. Sting gets in the ring and takes the TNA Heavyweight Championship belt from Roode.
Bobby Roode goads Sting into hitting him with the title belt, spitting at Sting. Bobby Roode ducks the belt shot and Jeff Hardy is knocked down! Bobby Roode covers Jeff Hardy and Sting slowly and reluctantly makes the 3 count.
WINNER: BOBBY ROODE (STILL TNA Champion)
This was on its way to becoming a decent match until the Summerslam 1997 replay. As it was two of the people weren’t really needed, and it had no real pace to it. [*¾] 1.5/10
After the match, Bobby Roode celebrates while Sting doesn’t look happy with the result.
