TRISH STRATUS (C) VS. JAZZ

 Trish Stratus walks out first, Lawler’s happy that tonight is starting with puppies and

I wish that was his nickname for a title match. Jazz walks down to the ring as the Championship match graphic plays.

Jazz starts with a kick to the midsection and a right hand, Jazz works a headlock until Trish sends her into the ropes, the champion is knocked down but kicks out at 1 when Jazz covers.

  Jazz takes Trish down in a waistlock, taking her down. Jazz rolls in the front chancery and covers for 2, trying to get the quick win. Jazz stomps Trish, but the champion fights out of the corner. Jazz reverses an irish whip and pulls Trish into a back elbow. Trish Stratus kicks Jazz away from the floor and connects with a forearm. Trish kicks Jazz, Jazz catches the third kick but gets knocked out of the ring by the roundhouse. Trish Stratus hits the Lou Thesz press from the apron but is charged into the side of the ring, Jazz whips Trish into the security wall and gets a nearfall in the ring. Jazz clubs at Trish’s back, before stretching it on the mat.

  Trish Stratus makes it to her feet and reverses the irish whip before running into another back elbow in the corner. Jazz hits a double sledge from the middle rope to Trish’s back and hits a delayed fisherman’s suplex but Trish is too close to the ropes. Trish is bleeding from the mouth as Jazz applies a half boston crab, Trish starts making her way to the bottom rope, Jazz puts Trish in the STF but Trish is able to break the hold. Trish Stratus fights back with more forearm shots, Jazz reverses in irish whip but Trish ducks the clothesline and hits the Chick Kick! Jazz kicks out at 2. Trish keeps Jazz in the corner with a back elbow, clothesline, body shots and finally some kicks, before setting her on the top turnbuckle. Trish hits the handstand super hurricanrana and covers for 2. Jazz hits the jawbreaker,

  Trish hits a weak-looking Stratusfaction bulldog. Jazz gets her foot on the bottom rope, but the referee doesn’t see it, and Trish wins.

WINNER: TRISH STRATUS

 This match was stuck in 2^nd gear. Jazz dominated about 85% but Trish got her signature spots in to retain, nothing much more to say about it. [*] 1/10
