British Bulldog makes his way out first, he’s accompanied by Jim Neidhart. Rick Rude accompanies Curt Hennig and they represent the nWo, Hennig has a brace on his right knee due to a legit injury. A policeman walks down to handcuff Neidhart and Rude together, which takes some time as Rude refuses the handcuffs until the referee threatens to ban him from ringside.

CURT HENNIG VS.
BRITISH BULLDOG
WCW Spring
Stampede (19th April 1998-)
British Bulldog knocks Hennig down with right hands and stomps him in the corner. Bulldog hyper-extends Hennig’s knee so Curt Hennig slides to the floor.
Jim Neidhart keeps Rude from interfering and Bulldog sends Hennig back to the ring. Curt Hennig backs into the corner and fights back. Hennig connects with a knee to the midsection but it hurts him more than Bulldog. British Bulldog kicks Hennig’s leg to drop him to the mat, more leg kicks from Bulldog before he sets Hennig up in the corner. British Bulldog connects with shoulder thrusts, Curt Hennig uses his brace as a weapon against Bulldog and fights back until Bulldog headbutts him. British Bulldog connects with right hands and drops Hennig with another headbutt. I would criticise the commentators for talking about other matches, but I can’t blame them. British Bulldog gets a nearfall and he goes back to Hennig's knee. Neidhart keeps Rick Rude from sliding into the ring as Bulldog applies a standing leg lock. Hennig gets his leg slammed into the mat, but gets to his feet. Curt Hennig hits Bulldog with an elbow but decides to kick him with the injured leg. British Bulldog starts punching around the knee brace and brings Hennig over to the corner. Curt Hennig is slammed into each level of the turnbuckles and finally into the mat. There’s a scuffle between Rick Rude, Jim Neidhart and a policeman as Bulldog sets up the Sharpshooter.
Jim Neidhart has hold of the policeman
and Rude is unlocking his handcuff, cuffing Neidhart to the ring post. I don’t
see how Curt Hennig gets out of it and to his feet, but he sends Bulldog over
the turnbuckles into the post and covers for the win.
WINNER: CURT HENNIG
Sometimes when a wrestler wins a
big match, you feel like you’re winning it vicariously with them. For these
long, thankfully few minutes though, I felt like I was losing with British
Bulldog. Curt Hennig used his injured leg in unnecessary ways and still won the
match without Rude’s help. [*¾] 2.25/10
The policeman is shown to be Vincent. Who gave the key to Rick Rude. Jim Neidhart has the nightstick, he keeps Vincent away but Hennig and Rude are double-teaming Bulldog. Vincent has the nightstick back and he hands it to Rick Rude, who chokes British Bulldog with it. The bell is continuously ringing as Curt Hennig gets in cheap shots. Vincent is beating on Neidhart and they celebrate in the ring before leaving.
