Ken Shamrock beat Goldust earlier in the night, and The Rock beat Big Bossman in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it match. Ken Shamrock makes his way out first and we see him making Goldust tap out to the Ankle Lock. JR calls him “tournament tested” which is an understatement. The Rock makes his way out and we see the full match. This is a rematch from last year’s Survivor Series.
Jim Ross & Jerry “The King” Lawler are on commentary for this match. Howard Finkel is on the introductions.

WINNER: THE ROCK (Advances to Semi-Finals)
This was the best match of the
tournament so far, which isn’t saying much but match quality is something most
of us look for, to an extent. Ken Shamrock and The Rock work well together and
they got a good amount of time thanks to the format of the show. [**½] 5/10
