STRAIGHT EDGE SOCIETY VS. BIG SHOW

 Before the match we see a helicopter view of Los Angeles, Trace Adkins is in the crowd, as is Marlon Wayans. We go to commentary and Cole mentions all the problems on Smackdown. This was just after Rey Mysterio shaved CM Punk’s head. Punk started wearing a mask but Big Show removed it last month on Smackdown. CM Punk got his revenge the next week, Gallows and Mercury held Big Show in place as CM Punk stomped on his hand, Serena also got some shots in with her boots.
  The Straight Edge Society make their way out, Serena will be in their corner for the match. CM Punk is wearing a “I broke Big Show’s hand” shirt. Big Show has his right hand in a heavy bandage and he’s taken on the Straight Edge X. He also had a warm-up handicap match against 3 local talents, but Michael Cole says it’s different against the Straight Edge Society.
The Trainer removes Big Show’s bandage before the match, no tags are needed for the Straight Edge Society.

STRAIGHT EDGE SOCIETY VS. BIG SHOW
(Handicap match)
WWE Summerslam 2010 (15^th August 2010)

  Joey Mercury runs into the first shot from Big Show as the bell rings. Luke Gallows doesn’t fare any better. His kick doesn’t connect and he eats some shots, Big Show hits an overhand chop against the ropes and SES regroups.
  Luke Gallows and Joey Mercury attack at the same time and Big Show has to cover up. Big Show is too big to move for an irish whip just yet, he sends Gallows over the the floor and slams Mercury to the mat. Joey Mercury goes for a breather on the outside, Big Show lifts him back in the ring and overhead, pressing Mercury onto Gallows. The fans chant for CM Punk as he holds the tag rope. Did no one tell Big Show it was Tornado rules? Punk gets in the ring and is instantly knocked down. Big Show hits and overhand chop in the corner and Punk bails to the floor. Big Show follows and CM Punk catches him with a shot to the throat. Punk tries to target the hand but Big Show trips him, sending Punk’s back into the ring steps. Big Show shushes the crowd but misses the chop, sending his hand into the ring steps. Luke Gallows blindsides Big Show and Joey Mercury flies in from nowhere with a follow-up shot. Matt Striker “Now the Straight Edge Society will attack!” Gallows knocks Big Show down with a boot and the SES ambush Big Show as CM Punk sends his hand into the ring steps. Big Show fights through the shots and gets back in the ring, Punk meets him with a knee and starts to target the right hand again. Punk stays back, holding Big Show’s legs as Gallows and Anderson hit splashes.

  CM Punk gets a few opportunistic shots in through the attack and begins to bring Big Show to his feet. Striker asks if Punk can get Big Show on his shoulders and I’m sure he has before now. Luke Gallows sends Mercury into Big Show in the corner before Punk sends him on the same journey. CM Punk pledges allegiance but runs into a back elbow. Big Show throws out clotheslines for everyone! Gallows and Mercury get stacked in the corner, Big Show squashes them then knocks them both down with a shoulder tackle and roars for a pop. CM Punk springboards into a goozle but gets kicks Big Show to escape, CM Punk avoids an attack in the corner and hits the running knee. He hits another one and then crosses the ring to get full momentum for a third running knee to Big Show. He calls Mercury and they can’ quite get the double bulldog out of the corner. Joey Mercury covers Big Show but is thrown off at 2. CM Punk attacks Big Show on the mat, focusing on his hand. Big Show pushes to his feet, he has Punk on his shoulders as Mercury tries to assist. Joey Mercury gets caught with a goozle, but Gallows is there to connect with a big boot. Big Show is knocked back into the ropes and Punk falls to the floor, Big Show bounces back with a double clothesline to the other SES members.

  CM Punk walks to the back with Serena as Big Show knocks Luke Gallows down. Big Show Chokeslams Joey Mercury onto Gallows and pins them both for the win.

WINNER: BIG SHOW

This made the Straight Edge Society look weak as fuck, and I’m confused about Big Show’s hand. It was “fully healed” but he was selling like it was still injured. CM Punk looked best when he walked out near the end, which says it all. [*¾] 3/10
