RYBACK VS. CURT HAWKINS & TYLER REKS

 Hawkins and Reks make their way out first, they couldn’t beat Ryback alone so they’re going to try teaming up tonight. Cole goes over Ryback’s diet as he makes his way to the ring. Michael Cole, Booker T and Jerry “The King” Lawler are on commentary for this match. Lillian Garcia is our ring announcer.

 

RYBACK VS. CURT HAWKINS & TYLER REKS

WWE Money in the Bank 2016 (15^th July 2012)

  Curt Hawkins starts the match and he’s sent straight to the mat. Tyler Reks gives him some advice from the apron but decides not to show how it’s done, Hawkins grabs a headlock but he is sent off the ropes and lifted into the air by Ryback, who lets gravity finish the job.

  Curt Hawkins is knocked down with a big boot and powders to the floor. Ryback chases Hawkins around ringside, Hawkins makes the tag and Rekswalks into a back elbow. Curt Hawkins gets a cheap shot in on Ryback and Tyler Reks snaps Ryback's neck off the top rope. Reks knocks Ryback down with a clothesline, Reks covers but Ryback immediately kicks out. Tyler Reks goes to work with knees and stomps before tagging Hawikins back in. Hawkins takes a free shot as Reks holds Ryback and Hawkins brings him down with a snapmare. Curt Hawkins sends Ryback’s head into the corner and Reks is back in with kicks and punches in the corner. Hawkins is back in and Tyler Reks slams him on Ryback, Hawkins covers but only gets 1.

  Curt Hawkins beats down Ryback and tags in Reks, this match is not going how I expected. Tyler Reks connects with a European uppercut and he brings Hawkins back in, they hit a reverse suplex on Ryback, Hawkins covers and Ryback kicks out at 1. Why doesn’t Reks cover, he’s the bigger guy? It would make more sense for the team. Ryback reverses an irish whip and plants Hawkins with a powerslam so Reks makes the tag and is knocked down by shoulder tackles. Ryback forces Reks into the corner for shoulder thrusts. Ryback carries Reks out of the corner and throws him overhead as the “Goldberg” chants begin. I never saw Goldberg get heat for the first 2 minutes during his streak.

  Curt Hawkins runs into a standing spinebuster, Ryback lifts him for a powerbomb and dumps him over the top to the floor. Tyler Reks runs into a Meathook clothesline and that sets up the Shellshock for the win.

WINNER: RYBACK

 What the fuck was that? It should have been a squash match, with slight resistance from Tyler Reks. Instead I had to type “Hawkins beats down Ryback” and sit through it for at least a minute too long. [*] 1/10
