Theodore Long is in the ring, he hypes up Mark Jindrak and tells the crowd to stand up. Both of these guys were recently drafted to Smackdown, and Jindrak is doing the narcissist gimmick. Spike Dudley makes his way out, he was scheduled to have a match with Teddy Long the previous week, but Jindrak appeared to attack Spike before the match could start.
Michael Cole and Tazz are on commentary for this match.
MARK JINDRAK VS.
SPIKE DUDLEY
WWE Smackdown (15th April 2004)
Mark Jindrak meets Spike with a knee to the
midsection, Jindrak trash talks in the corner but Spike Dudley fires back with
forearm strikes and climbs to the top rope. Mark Jindrak dropkicks Spike down
to the floor! What a leap. Spike Dudley is brought back in the ring and Jindrak
gets 2 with an Oklahoma roll. Spike is knocked down with a stiff punch, he
holds on to the bottom rope for dear life, but a couple of stomps puts a stop
to that. Mark Jindrak hits a delayed vertical suplex and kips up. Spike Dudley
is sent off the ropes but he uses his head as a battering ram, cutting Jindrak’s
momentum off. Spike goes for the Dudley Dog but it’s reversed into the (yet-unnamed)
Mark of Excellence for the win.
WINNER: MARK JINDRAK
Short squash match to make Mark Jindrak look dominant and get his finisher over, too short to give a star rating too but it did it’s job and Spike Dudley is the perfect opponent for the match. [DUD] 1/10
