Goldberg meets McMichael on the entrance ramp with right hands, then sends him into the barricade. Steve McMichael tries to fight back, but he’s carried to ringside and dumped in the ring.

Goldberg gets in the ring and the bell goes, Steve McMichael was waiting for him and clubs away at Goldberg’s back.
Steve McMichael hits some forearms and kicks Goldberg in the ribs in the corner. Goldberg is sent across the ring into a sidewalk slam, but it didn’t look pretty. McMichael covers for 2. Goldberg is sent into the ropes, he ducks the clothesline and knocks Mongo down with a shoulder tackle for a pair of nearfalls. Goldberg dumps McMichale through the ropes but Steve McMichael stops himself from being sent into the table. Goldberg’s head is sent into the apron before McMichael brings it back into the ring. He climbs to the top rope and collides with Goldberg’s hand on the way down. Goldberg stomps on McMichael and brings him to a vertical base before rolling through into a kneebar. Goldberg snaps McMichael’s leg back and allows Mongo to his feet. Goldberg sends McMichael off the ropes into a shoulder block. Another journey across the ring for McMichael and this time Goldberg Spears him, he covers but lets McMichael up at 2.
Commentary mentions that this is longer than Goldberg’s matches usually last and, yeah, I picked badly here. Goldberg sets up the table outside of the ring. Steve McMichael is sent into the corner, Goldberg struggles Mongo onto a shoulder but the referee, Randy Anderson stops him sending McMichael over through the table. Goldberg falls back, and Mongo has him in a pin but Goldberg kicks out immediately. Goldberg dropkicks McMichael and he struggles over the top rope. He takes a walk around ringside and gets back on the apron in front of the table. Goldberg walks into shoulder thrusts through the ropes but gets his knee up to stun McMichael. Goldberg connects with a right hand sending McMichael through the table. No disqualification for that, OK. Goldberg brings McMichael back in the ring but is met with boots to the face.
Steve McMichael calls for the Mongo Spike, a Tombstone piledriver, but he drops Goldberg. That’s enough for Goldberg to hit the Jackhammer for the win.
WINNER: GOLDBERG
This match was rough, they looked lost out there and this was the worst opponent to stretch out Goldberg’s match time. I guess the table and failed tombstone were supposed to help McMichael save face? [½*] 1.25/10
