This begins way back at the previous year’s No Way Out pay-per-view. Mark Henry cost Undertaker the World Heavyweight Championship against Kurt Angle, leading to a casket match at WrestleMania 22. Mark Henry went out with an injury a few months later and when he returned he attacked Undertaker on 11th May edition of Smackdown, allowing Edge to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. It was Undertaker’s turn to take time off for injury, with this being his return match.
John “Bradshaw” Layfield and Michael Cole are
on commentary for this match.
Mark Henry makes his way out first, getting into a confrontation with some fans at ringside before getting in the ring. There’s a long pause before Undertaker’s gong hits, the ringside area begins to fill with smoke and the lights go out. Lightning hits the stage, then again to set fire to symbols before Undertaker makes his way through the floor. The return entrances Undertaker got were always pretty Badass, even if they sometimes took a while. Charles Robinson is our referee. JBL says Henry might look calm and collected, but he’s intimidated the way JBL was facing Undertaker, no matter how good the poker face.
