BIG BOSSMAN VS. KOKO B. WARE

 

Big Bossman is already in the ring with his manager Slick. Koko B Ware gets a bigger pop than his Hall of Fame induction as he makes his way out to the ring.

BIG BOSSMAN VS. KOKO B. WARE

WWF SummerSlam 1988 (29^th August 1988)

  The bell rings as Slick is trash talking Koko from the apron, Big Bossman attacks him from behind and sends him out to the floor. Koko B. Ware is quickly back in the ring, connecting with right hands. Bossman reverses an irish whip but B Ware knocks him back into the ropes Andre the Giant style with a dropkick.

   Koko hits the opposite ropes, a flying headbutt and right hands help Bossman untie himself as Earl Hebner backs Koko away. Koko B Ware connects with a quick jab but tries to stick and move again, getting caught in a front facelock. Big Bossman clubs him down to the mat and headbutts B. Ware. Big Bossman sends Koko from one corner to the other and follows with a running splash. Bossman drives his knee into Koko B. Ware’s kidney and sends him off the ropes into a clothesline. Big Bossman covers but brings B. Ware’s shoulder up at 2. Bossman stretches out Koko’s shoulders, but Koko flips through and boots Bossman in the jaw. Koko B. Ware is draped over the middle rope and Bossman squashes him. Koko B Ware is knocked down with a right hand, Bossman hits a scoop slam and climbs to the top rope, he barely hits Koko with the splash, Koko is sent across the ring but evades a charging Bossman, who hangs his leg over the ropes.

  Koko B.Ware connects with kicks to the leg and hits a missile dropkick! Koko B. Ware hits a running splash and covers but Bossman kicks out at 2. Big Bossman catches Koko B. Ware and sends him over to the apron in a rough-looking move, Koko B. Ware is brought back into the ring and sent off the ropes into a Bossman Slam, giving Big Bossman the win.

WINNER: BIG BOSSMAN

This was just a showcase match for Big Bossman, there were some rough spots and they seemed to be clunky in there together, but it wasn’t a disaster of a match. [*¾] 2/10

After the match, Big Bossman hits Koko B. Ware in the midsection with his nightstick, knocking him out of the ring.
