Jerry ”The King” Lawler, Matt Striker and Booker T are on commentary for this match. It is the 2011 Draft Lottery episode of Monday Night Raw, meaning it’s interpromotional matches all night. Michael Cole enters to Jack Swagger’s music, and accompanied by him too. “Sir” Michael Cole was knighted by an impersonator of the Queen of England. Unless we have the impersonator I guess. He made King and JR kiss his feet last week in London. JR enters in his lucky Sooners jersey. Jerry Lawler says he’s going to even out the odds and moves over to JR’s corner for the match. This is in preparation to the Country Whipping match the following Sunday at Extreme Rules.
MICHAEL COLE VS.
JIM ROSS
WWE Raw (25th April 2011)
Michael Cole and Jack Swagger mock JR’s weight for a while and it doesn’t take long for someone in the crowd to call it boring. Cole avoids some swipes and grabs JR’s hat from the timekeeper. He stomps on the hat before going back to his corner and getting dabbed down with a towel, Cole does some pushups, or close to it as Booker T reminds us it counts as a match. Jim Ross shoves Cole down, grabbing hold of the damn orange singlet. Swagger throws a stool in the ring and calls for a timeout as JR calls bullshit. Michael Cole tries to slam JR but Good Ol’ JR lands on top, he mounts and unloads right hands, busting Cole’s lip open. Michael Cole scrambles to the floor, but Jerry Lawler sends him back into the ring. Jack Swagger jumps King from behind and sends him into the security wall, then jumps Jim Ross as he hits Cole with more right hands, causing a disqualification.
WINNER: JIM ROSS (DQ)
This was two non-wrestlers, but they were genuinely feuding,
and the only active competitor in the whole situation was pretty stagnant. At
least Cole was busted open.[½’] 0/10.
