Before the match, Virgil is backstage with Sean Mooney. Virgil says Nailz beat Big Bossman like a dog and that didn’t please Virgil. Some moral about crime not paying in an average at best promo. Wow, this match got a graphic. Nailz however, gets no entrance. Vince McMahon talks about Virgil’s conditioning on commentary as he jogs down to the ring. Bobby “The Brian” Heenan joins McMahon at the desk.

The bell rings and they kind of lock up. Nailz forces Virgil into the corner with a choke, then a knee to the gut. Virgil fights back after the break with right hands, getting out of the corner. Nailz reverses an irish whip, Virgil explodes out of the corner with a dropkick but it doesn’t knock Nailz down. A dropkick sends him staggering back into the ropes but he goes back to the choke. Nailz shows the variety in his move set by raking at Virgil’s face. Nailz misses with the clothesline and Virgil attempts a sunset flip, Nailz misses with a right hand as Virgil rolls him up but Nailz immediately kicks out. Nailz goes back to the choke, breaking before getting disqualified each time.
Nailz dumps Virgil to the floor. Nailz rolls out of the ring and sends Virgil’s head into the apron, then breaks the referee’s count. Virgil meets the apron again and the referee and Nailz discuss mother’s day for a while before Virgil is sent back into the ring. Virgil finds his second wind, fighting to his feet and backing Nailz into a corner, the irish whip is reversed but Nailz runs into Virgil’s boots. Nailz knocks him down with a clothesline. He sends Virgil into the ropes and locks in a sleeperhold if you ask The Brain, or a choke in Vince’s opinion. Whatever it is it puts Virgil out and awards Nailz the match.
WINNER: NAILZ
It was a match to extend the Big Bossman/Nailz feud, but it wasn’t going to blow anyone away. Very basic match that wasn’t needed. [*¾] 2/10.
After the match, Nailz
grabs Bossman’s nightstick and takes a couple of shots at Virgil, sending him
out to the floor.
