Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler are on commentary for this match. Vader makes his way out. Leading into this match they attacked each other in their respective King of the Ring qualifier matches and also had a tug of war the previous weekend on Shotgun Saturday Night. They charge each other at the bell and neither man budges. Vader charges Henry again, neither man moves too far that time either. Vader runs into a slam attempt by Henry, but they can’t get there from a running start. Mark Henry gets a standing slam on Vader though and hits an elbow drop, Vader leaves the ring in frustration, and I can’t help but feel I know how he’s feeling. Mark Henry struggles sending Vader into the corner and hits a couple of weak right hands, Vader is sent off the ropes and knocked down with a shoulder tackle. Mark Henry sends Vader across the ring into a kick to the gut, then knocks him down with a double sledge, covering for a nearfall. Mark Henry hits the ropes and jumps in the air for another elbow drop, then hits a running leg drop for a nearfall. Vader reverses an irish whip and ducks early, Henry goes over with a sunset flip attempt, but Vader sits down.

Vader hits a big splash for 2 then sends Henry into the corner for some stiff shots. Mark Henry is sent across the ring, Vader charges with an Avalanche and brings Henry out of the corner with a short arm clothesline. Vader dumps Henry out of the ring and sends him into the ring steps and quickly back in. Vader hits Henry with right hands and a scoop slam, positioning Henry for the splash from the middle rope, 1, 2, Mark Henry kicks out before 3! Vader brings Henry to his feet, but the irish whip is reversed. Mark Henry catches Vader with a quick powerslam and uses the ropes for momentum on the Big Splash to keep Vader down for the 3.

WINNER: MARK HENRY

You could see how green Henry was, Vader didn’t give enough of a crap to cover for him. Vader was on his way out, so just went through the motions although there were glimmers of what could be if they were given time and motivation. [*] 1.5/10.
