When Terry Taylor came to WWF, he lost a tag team match and berated his partner, turning heel and joining Bobby "The Brain Heenan, becoming the Red Rooster. This relationship turned sour on the 7th of January Saturday Night's Main Event. Red Rooster had a program with Heenan's new charges including Brooklyn Brawler who he faced on Prime Time Wrestling 11th March.
Before the match, Red
Rooster is backstage with “Mean” Gene Okerlund. He says he wants to teach The
Weasel a lesson. Jesse Ventura and Gorilla Monsoon are on commentary. Bobby
Heenan enters with Brooklyn Brawler, to stand in his corner. Red Rooster makes
his way to the ring and Gorilla Monsoon makes a bold prediction that he’ll win
the match.

The bell rings and Bobby Heenan cowers into a corner, Red Rooster sends his head into the turnbuckle a couple of times then whips Heenan across the ring. Rooster connects with a couple of right hands, Bobby Heenan reverses the irish whip, sending Rooster into the corner. Bobby Heenan charges after him but Rooster sidesteps and Heenan’s shoulder connects with the ring post, Red Rooster pins him and it’s over.
WINNER: RED ROOSTER
It isn’t much of a match, and didn’t have to be. Red
Rooster got a quick win to continue his story with Heenan and his charges. No Star rating and, purely for the story and having the
correct ending, 2/10 .
