KEVIN SULLIVAN VS. BRIAN PILLMAN

Jimmy Hart walks out with the Taskmaster. Tony Schiovane, Bobby Heenan and Dusty Rhodes are on commentary for this match. Schiovane calls this a mixture of a strap match and an “I quit” match

and says there's nowhere to run Heenan: “Like a bad divorce” Brian Pillman runs down to the ring, holding the strap.

Kevin Sullivan meets Pillman as he gets into the ring, Brian Pillman takes him down and the bell rings so I guess we're starting without connecting the strap. He whips Sullivan with it, who's decided to grab an ankle. Sullivan is whipped on the ear before forcing Pillman into the corner. He gets a right hand in, then a kick to the gut. Brian Pillman gets some separation and grabs the microphone from the referee, telling Sullivan he respects him and ending the match.

WINNER: KEVIN SULLIVAN

Well, we wouldn't know it at the time but that would be one of the highlights of Brian Pillman's career and the beginning of a gimmick change. This moment brought us the Loose Cannon gimmick.– As a match it's too short to really rate but for historical significance, I'd rate it 2/10
