Sherri Martel is in the ring before the Champion makes her entrance. Rockin' Robin comes out to Sam Houston's theme music. Sherri grabs a microphone and fumbles through making a challenge to the winner of this match. Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura are on commentary for this match

WWF Royal Rumble 1989 (15th January 1989)
Judy Martin jumps Robin to start the match, clubbing at her. Rockin' Robin fights back with right hands and a chop in the corner, Judy Martin reverses an irish whip but hits the turnbuckles as Sherri joins the commentary team for the match. She immediately calls Martin overweight and Robin skinny as Rockin' Robin knocks Martin down with dropkicks. Judy Martin is sent into the corner but she gets a knee up or her boot up or something. She slams Robin's face into the mat. Rockin' Robin knocks her down with a weak clothesline and hits an elbow to the top of the head. Judy Martin uses the hair to lean Robin on the ropes before sending her off, Rockin' Robin's crossbody is caught and Martin literally just drops her. She hits a knee drop before sending Robin off the ropes again, she tries a sunset flip but Martin punches her to get out of it. Rockin' Robin fights back and trips Judy Martin, she hits elbow drops to the knee and puts her in a boston crab. I can only assume The Rock watched this match before “perfecting” his Sharpshooter.
Judy Martin powers out of it and they each get a nearfall. Rockin' Robin hits an elbow to the top of the head and a knee lift, but Judy Martin comes back with a boot. She slowly rolls Robin into a small package but only gets 2. Rockin' Robin hits a knee lift and an elbow drop for another nearfall. Judy Martin is sent off the ropes but she holds on and Robin eats shit on the dropkick, Martin sets up a suplex but Robin lands on her feet, she tries to roll up Martin but Judy Martin holds on to the top rope, sending Robin thudding to the mat. Judy Martin sends Robin off the ropes into a clothesline and covers for 2. She slams Robin for another nearfall. Rockin' Robin is sent off the ropes, they fumble a bit before she hits a DDT for a 2 count. Robin eats shit on an elbow drop, Judy Martin hits the ropes and misses a jumping elbow drop Rockin' Robin tries to lift Judy Martin for a slam but can't get her off the ground, Martin slams her for another nearfall, then another with a backslide. Rockin' Robin is sent off the ropes, but Martin ducks early and gets kicked for it, it somehow takes Martin down and Robin covers for 2. A small package gets Robin another nearfall. She hits Martin with right hands in the corner, Judy Martin reverses an irish whip but Robin steps up to the middle rope, she fakes out Martin then hits her with a crossbody for the win.
WINNER: ROCKIN' ROBIN (STILL WWF Women's Champion)
Sherri's commentary for this match was torture, luckily it was short. She spent most of the time bickering with Monsoon or cheering Judy Martin on. The match itself wasn't much better, nothing looked crisp and they were doing the most basic of moves, the fumbles broke the flow of the match in a terrible way and took a while for them to get back as they were. – As a match, it's ½* but personally, I'd rate it 1/10
After this match, we had an advertisement for Wrestlemania V was the Super Posedown between Ultimate Warrior and Rick Rude. It's decided through crowd reaction and Warrior (obviously) wins, after the Posedown ends Rick Rude attacks Warrior with some weightlifting equipment and chokes hiim out.
