Before the match, Michael Cole is backstage with Wiliam Regal, who says it's great coming back to his home country as European Champion and calls himself a National Treasure. Jim Ross and Tazz are on commentary for this match. He calls the crowd poor and says he's living well where they don't have money for Christmas. Crash Holly enters first, with Molly Holly at ringside. Crash has lost a lot of weight, only 216lbs tonight, he's usually 400ish. William Regal makes his way out and is confused about the reception he gets from the crowd. He gets a microphone, so we get 2 Regal promos tonight. He says he knew he would get a better reaction than Steve Austin and The Rock because he's their hero, representing them and their country. He tells the fans that they don't believe their boos, just as he doesn't and him being champion helps them think they achieved something.

WWF Rebellion 2000 (2nd December 2000)
Crash Holly interrupts, attacking Regal from behind, William Regal reverses an irish whip but Crash takes him down with a headscissors and hits a dropkick on Regal. Crash knocks him back into the corner with right hands and sends him across the ring but runs into Regal's boot. Regal sends Crash's shoulder into the ring post, lifts Crash up for a back suplex, and powerbombs him down for a nearfall. He stomps at Crash and pauses to wave to the crowd, another kick before a knee drop connects. Regal sends Crash off the ropes into a back elbow, a suplex from William Regal gets 3 consecutive nearfalls, then he puts Crash in a chinlock. Crash kicks the ropes but it's not enough to force the break, he makes it to his feet and gets out of it with elbows to the ribs. Crash Holly hits the ropes and counters a hip toss into a rollup for 2. William Regal knocks Crash down with a boot to the face, he hits an elbow drop for a 2 count.
Regal drives his elbow into the top of Crash's head as Tazz has trouble with British Geography. William Regal clutches Crash and hits the knee strike, he clubs Crash across the back and knocks him down with a European uppercut. Regal punches at Crash in the corner and hits a back suplex for a nearfall. He puts Crash in a chinlock then crosses Crash's arms in front of his throat for the hold, he rolls Crash down to the mat and puts his foot on the rope for leverage. William Regal brings Crash to his feet, but Crash catches the punch in a backslide for a 2 count. He rolls Regal up for another nearfall and sends him off the ropes into a jumping back elbow for another nearfall, a hurricanrana gets the same. William Regal reverses the irish whip, sending Crash into the corner, Cras tries to float over but is slammed to the mat William Regal covers, Crash Holly gets his foot on the rope at 2 but the referee doesn't see it. Molly Holly tells the referee what happened and he takes her word for it, no instant replay on the Titantron or even the stupid asking the crowd. Just believes it no problem. Molly Holly hits Regal with a missile dropkick and as the ring announcer tells the crowd the match must continue, Crash is covering Regal for the win.
WINNER: CRASH HOLLY
This was a decent match for the time they got, Crash was a great lower card worker and was good for a quick pop. He had a great moveset and showed it in this match, Regal has an out with Molly Holly giving the assist, it wasn't much but it gave the English fans a title change on the show I guess.– As a match, it's *½ but personally, I'd rate it 2/10
