STEINER BROTHERS VS. COL. DEKLERK & SGT. KRUEGER

The Steiner brothers represent the USA in the Pat O'Conor tag team tournament, their quarterfinals match is against the team representing South Africa, Colonel DeKlerk (who would go on to become Rocco Rock, of Public Enemy fame) and Sgt, Krueger. The trophy is brought down to the ring before the Parade of Nations, showing the flags for all 8 nations competing, the winners will be deemed the champions of the universe. Jim Ross and Paul E. Dangerously are on commentary for this match. The South Africans enter first, Ross tells us that DeKlerk is the member of the team with a beard. The crowd starts going crazy before the Steiner Brothers are even introduced. The Steiners are the US tag team champs at this time.

Rick Steiner starts with Sgt. Krueger as the fans chant for the USA in a shocking turn of events. They lock up, Steiner gets a headlock but it's countered with a back suplex. Krueger hits an elbow drop and covers for 1. Steiner counters a slam and gets a waistlock, Krueger grabs the ropes and sends Steiner off. Krueger runs into a Steinerline. He's sent off the ropes but ducks a back elbow, Rick ducks early and gets kicked, Colonel DeKlerk gets the tag, they send Steiner off the ropes, he ducks the clothesline and knocks them both down with a Steinerline. DeKlerk attacks Steiner from behind and slams him. A spinning heel kick knocks Rick Steiner out of the ring, but he catches a running somersault plancha and drops DeKlerk on his head on the floor. Sgt. Krueger completely fucks it on an elbow drop from the apron, but Rick sells anyway, DeKlerk brings it back in the ring but Rick Steiner ducks a clothesline and casually tags in Scott. Scott Steiner slams DeKlerk, then one for Krueger too. Colonel DeKlerk is sent off the ropes into a tilt-a-whirl slam, he's sent for another run right into a Frankensteiner! 1, 2, 3. Steiners win this one handily

WINNERS: STEINER BROTHERS

Short, not very interesting as a match. The crowd were really into the Steiners at this point, but this match had no time to build to anything before a sudden finish..– As a match it's ½* but personally I'd rate it 1/10
