They lock up and Nia Jax lifts Rousey, then shoves her back. Ronda Rousey ducks some shots and jabs at Jax, Nia Jax with more attempts, but can't connect with Rousey who keeps to the stick and move strategy. Nia Jax is able to catch a punch and sends Rousey into the corner, but Rousey evades an attack, connecting with a kick. Ronda Rousey with more kicks, but Jax absorbs them until she can catch one, Rousey catches a right hand, rolling through to the Armbar. Nia Jax is able to stop it from being fully locked in and counters with a powerbomb, she covers but Rousey kicks out at 1. Ronda is brought up by her hair and a hip toss sends her into the corner, Nia Jax hits an avalanche and sends Rousey across the ring for another. An elbow drop from Jax still gets a 1 count. Nia Jax sends Rousey's shoulder into the ring post and goes out to the apron, she runs at Rousey's exposed shoulder and crushes it against the ring post. Nia Jax knocks Rousey down with a headbutt but misses a leg drop. Ronda Rousey jumps up into a guillotine choke, but Jax lifts her to suplex position. No rear-naked choke by Rousey. Nia Jax sends her over, but Rousey holds on, trying to get an armbar as Nia Jax rolls to the floor, she lifts Rousey and sends her into the barricade.
Nia Jax brings it back into the ring and covers, but only gets a nearfall. Nia Jax locks in a Cobra clutch but Rousey is able to break it with elbows, she gets to her feet but Nia Jax cuts her off with a kick to the gut. Rousey counters a spinning powerbomb into a headscissors, getting to her feet in the corner. Nia Jax charges at Rousey but hits the ring post and rolls out of the ring. Ronda Rousey hits a crossbody and struggles to get Nia Jax in the ring, they beat the referee's count, and Rousey covers but only gets 2. Ronda Rousey goes back to her roots with lefts and rights, she hits Nia Jax with a step-up knee strike and a step-up Superman punch. Ronda Rousey covers 1,2, no! Ronda Rousey goes back to the top rope, she hits another crossbody on Nia Jax, but Jax rolls through, Samoan drop, 1, 2, no! Nia Jax headbutts Rousey, she sends her into the corner for another avalanche. She lifts Rousey onto her shoulders and climbs to the middle rope but Rousey fights her way out with elbows and hits a sunset flip powerbomb! She covers Jax but still can't get 3. Ronda Rousey sets up for another Armbar but Tamina causes a distraction, Nia Jax attacks Rousey from behind. Rousey blocks the Facebreaker and they struggle, Rousey up into a Figure 4 necklock and rolls Nia Jax through into the armbar, causing her to tap.
WINNER: RONDA ROUSEY (STILL Raw Women's Champion)
This was a good match, they worked it around Rousey's Armbar and Nia Jax's only strategy was to keep Rousey too hurt to get it. The only move that made me cringe was the crossbody from the top to the floor, which was a pleasant surprise for a Nia Jax match.– As a match, it's **¾ but personally, I'd rate it 5/10
