This was part of the Dungeon of Doom storyline, where Kevin Sullivan used a roster of monsters to try and take down Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania. It started with the 3 Faces of Fear, with Hogan bringing back up, of course. Before the match, Sting wins the Most Popular Wrestler of the Year award, which I will consider his “Randy Savage award” with Hulk Hogan winning the big one. Kevin Sullivan enters first, followed by Mr. T in what looks like referee pajamas, including nightcap. Tony Schiovane and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan are on commentary for this match.
KEVIN SULLIVAN VS. MR T
WCW Starrcade 1994 (27th December 1994)
Mr. T is slow to lock up with Sullivan, Kevin Sullivan tries to rush into it and Mr. T side-steps him. Mr. T gets the first offensive move of the match, hitting Sullivan with a hip toss. He has Sullivan in a fireman's carry as Santa Claus walks down the entranceway, Mr. T blocks some punches from Sullivan and connects with headbutts, knocking Sullivan back into the corner. Mr. T gets some shots to Sullivan's ribs and sends him across the ring for more of the same. Kevin Sullivan gets sent back and drops to the mat. Kevin Sullivan sends Mr. T through the ropes and stomps him at ringside, he hits Mr. T with a chop across the chest. Kevin Sullivan tries to remove Mr. T's referee shirt as Mr. T tries to fight to his feet, the cameraman trips over the ring steps and is in the way as Sullivan sends Mr. T into them. Sullivan breaks the referee's count before struggling to pick Mr. T up and sending his head into the ring steps. Kevin Sullivan attacks the eyes and we see Jimmy Hart running down to ringside. Santa Claus is revealed to be Dave Sullivan and he has Hart's megaphone, Kevin Sullivan nicely backs into a megaphone shot, Mr. T covers to win the match and put us out of our misery.
WINNER: MR T
That was a pointless match to get Hulk Hogan's mate a payday in the new company. Credit to Sullivan, he gave Mr T a lot, but I just didn't buy the match happening at all.It's * and personally, I'd rate it 1/10.
After the match, Kevin Sullivan starts attacking Dave for costing him the match and hits him with a piledriver in the middle of the ring.
