EDGE (C) VS. TRIPLE H VS. JEFF HARDY

Back at Survivor Series, Jeff Hardy was taken out of the WWE Championship match, having been found in his Hotel room unconscious. Edge was a mid-match replacement and won the WWE Championship. A Beat the Clock challenge was ordered to find the #1 contender, with Jeff and Triple H winning their matches in the exact same duration. (12 minutes 13 seconds, if you're interested),

Triple H makes his way out first, Jim Ross is on commentary for this match with Tazz, JR reminds us Triple H was in the first main event of an Armageddon pay-per-view. He's followed by Jeff Hardy, who is the only man in the match to not have won the WWE Championship yet in his career. Edge is out, he's currently doing the General Manager's favourite, as he was in a relationship with Vickie Guerrero at the time. We get in-ring introductions for tonight's big main event.

He covers Edge as Triple H rolls out of the ring. 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: JEFF HARDY (NEW WWE Champion)

This was an amazing match, it did have the standard 2 people in, 1 out formula but they did it well and it was an exciting match. The Matt Hardy and Vladimir Kozlov additions didn't need to happen, but they made sense and continued the larger story. Jeff Hardy was able to look on par with Triple H and Edge during his crowning moment.– As a match it's *** but personally, I'd rate it 5.5/10
