BARON CORBIN VS. BRAUN STROWMAN

Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Renee Young are on commentary for this match. This was WWE's attempt at Austin/McMahon mixed in with King Kong vs. Godzilla, meaning he's catching up with Pop Culture a bit more now. Anyway, here are the stipulations. If Strowman wins he gets another shot at the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble and if Baron Corbin wins he's the full-time General Manager position. That got a boo from the crowd when it was announced, big cheer as it's announced that if Baron Corbin loses he loses his General Manager job. Stephanie McMahon is the Raw Commissioner, which is higher than General Manager thanks to their last name. Oh, and one final thing. Heath Slator's the referee. Baron Corbin enters first and cuts a promo, proudly taking his official forefeit win as Braun Strowman was injured the night after Survivor Series.

Heath Slator calls for the bell and begins his count. Corey Graves makes a great point that Slator's getting a pay-per-view payday as he gets to 5. Braun Strowman is out at 7! He walks out with his injured arm in a sling, from an attack by Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley. Braun Strowman is handed a microphone at ringside. He says that he has help, there are plenty of people who are sick of Corbin. Some of them show up around ringside. Apollo Crews, Robert Roode, Chad Gable and Finn Balor surround the ring with chairs. Baron Corbin tells Slator to get them out of here, but Slator decides he didn't want the referee job. He throws the shirt at Corbin and decks him before Balor gets the first chairshot to the ribs. Chad Gable hits Corbin across the back, Roode with another jab to the midsection before Apollo Crews hits Corbin across the back. Finn Balor hits Corbin again, assisting him out through the ropes.

Baron Corbin walks up the ramp, but KURT ANGLE IS HERE! He adds himself to the party since Corbin took his job. Kurt Angle grabs a chair from the set and Corbin just runs into a shot to the midsection. Kurt Angle uses the chair to bat Corbin back down to the ring. Robert Roode and Chad Gable hit the neckbreaker/moonsault combination and Crews follows with a frog splash. They look to KurtAngle, who hits the Angle Slam as Finn Balor makes his way to the top rope. He hits a Coup de Grace, Heath Slator seems to have had a growth spurt as he struggles with the referee shirt as Strowman puts his foot over Corbin. He counts the three.

WINNER: BRAUN STROWMAN

it wasn't really a match, just an extended segment of people getting revenge on Baron Corbin, but it was entertaining for what it was. I just struggle with whether something like that should be on pay-per-view time..– As a match it's * but personally I'd rate it 4/10
