The Beverly Brothers enter first, followed by Money Inc. who are the WWF Tag Team Champions. Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and Vince McMahon are on commentary. Heenan is busting a gut about Mr. Perfect and Randy Savage. IRS of course tells us to pay our taxes as the Natural Disasters make their way to the ring. The Nasty Boys enter and it's always strange to me when they get positive reactions. Both face tag teams were previously managed by Jimmy Hart, who now manages Money Inc.
MONEY INC. & BEVERLEY BROTHERS VS. NATRUAL DIASTERS & NASTY BOYS
WWF Survivor Series 1992 (25th November 1992)
© World Wrestling Entertainment
Typhoon and Blake Beverley starts, Blake plays keep-away with the bigger man early, shoving Typhoon into the corner and strutting to celebrate. The Mouth of the South lives up to his name at ringside, cackling until Blake is shoved back into the corner. Another shove sends Blake to his arse. Typhoon “struts” frustrating Blake and hurting my eyes. Blake jumps on Typhoon's back with a sleeperhold but is squashed in the corner. Typhoon sends Blake across the ring with a hip toss and lifts him into a Gory Special, tagging out to Earthquake. Earthquake puts a bearhug on Blake and forces him into the corner, drawing in Beau Beverley who is squashed against his brother. Typhoon hits an avalanche in the corner as Heenan brings up the Elephant in the room, the Beverley brothers are the only team to not have won the tag titles.
Typhoon keeps the Beverleys in the corner as Earthquake hits an avalanche that hits the Beverleys through his partner. Earthquake slams Blake and tags in Knobbs, who is too focused on the champions on the apron. Blake slaps him across the face but Brian Knobbs blocks a right hand and drops Blake. Knobbs sends Blake into the ropes and drops him face first to the mat. He turns his attention back to Money Inc. and turns Blake inside out with a clothesline. Jerry Sags gets the tag, but he ignores the legal man too. Blake gets a shot in from his knees and gets the tag to Beau. Beau Beverley knocks Sags into the corner. Sags is softened up with kicks but he reverses an irish whip. He hits a pumphandle slam but turns his attention to Money Inc again so Beau attacks him from behind. Beau hits a butterfly suplex which gets the “nice manouveur” approval from McMahon on commentary.
Ted DiBiase tags in, he chops as Jerry Sags, backing him into the corner and sends him across the ring. Sags stumbles out of the corner into a clothesline. Sags sandbags a suplex and hits one of his own but DiBiase tags in Irwin R. Schyster. IRS sends Sags off the ropes again into a back elbow and hits a legdrop for a nearfall. Jerry Sags is sent off the ropes again, he ducks the clothesline this time, blocks a hip toss and hits his own. IRS runs into the second one. DiBiase enters the ring and gets knocked down for his efforts. Sags hits both Beverley brothers and Jimmy Hart jumps on the apron. IRS jumps Sags from behind and tags in Beau, who sends Sags off the ropes into a powerslam. Blake gets the tag and they seem to mess up their double-team attack, Beau runs off the ropes and kicks Sags with some momentum then leaves Blake to snapmare Sags over, he hits a legdrop for another nearfall. Wow, that move's not too effective in this match so far...
Beau gets the tag and hits an axe handle from the middle rope and hits a neckbreaker for the closest nearfall yet. He holds on to a chinlock for a while but Sags gets to his feet and escapes with elbows, he tries to get some momentum from the ropes but runs into a kick. He's sent off the ropes but ducks a clothesline, putting Beau in the sleeperhold. Beau Beverley turns into a headlock and sends Sags off the ropes, they hit in the middle of the ring for a double-down. Blake Beverley and Earthquake both get the tag, you can guess who backs off from that meeting. Blake tries to strike first but it's blocked and Earthquake hits him with rights. Blake is sent from corner to corner and stumbles out into a back elbow. Money Inc. each try interfering but take a clothesline. Knobbs and Typhoon go to clear the ring as it breaks down. Blake tries to bring Typhoon down with a crucifix but is flattened into the mat. Earthquake Splash eliminates The Beverley Brothers.
Beau and Ted DiBiase argue with the referee but it makes no difference. Money Inc are left to face both teams alone. This was a bad night for Ted DiBiase to wear white tights. Earthquake shoves Ted DiBiase down when they lock up. Ted DiBiase locks up with the big man again as Brain complains about Typhoon's weight advantage alone. He rakes Earthquake's eyes and chops the crap out of him, backing him into the ropes. Earthquake reverses an irish whip and knocks DiBiase down with a shoulder tackle. The Nasty Boys each take turns tagging for a right hand on DiBiase as Heenan tells the champs to just walk out of the match since nothing's at stake. Typhoon hits him with a headbutt and tags Earthquake back in, trying to keep in fighting shape. Earthquake hits shoulder barges in the corner and sends Ted DiBiase across the ring. Ted DiBiase avoids a corner splash and gets a desperate tag to Irwin R Schyshter. They hit a double-team back suplex, IRS hits an elbow drop and covers Earthquake but is thrown off at 2.
IRS brings Earthquake to his feet, sending his head into the turnbuckle as the fans chant his first name at him, which he hates. Earthquake is sent across the ring, but falls out of the way of a corner clothesline. IRS is able to make the tag and Earthquake is brought to his feet again as Heenan keeps calling it a mistake by the champions.Money Inc isolate Earthquake in their corner, IRS puts on a chinlock drawing in Earthquake's partners so DiBiase can come in. The fans try and tell the referee they didn't tag but it's never gotten anyone anywhere. IRS gets a kick from the apron right in front of the referee but no disqualification because reasons? DiBiase hits Earthquake with a clothesline but he's still on his feet. Chops and a right hand bring Earthquake down to one knee momentarily and an axe handle from the middle rope finally drops him. Ted DiBiase covers but only gets 2. IRS tags in and stomps on Earthquake, then goes to his roots with a front facelock. Ted DiBiase gets the tag and IRS holds Earthquake for a cheap shot. Ted DiBiase goes to chops again and an axe handle from the second rope. He tries another one as Earthquake is on his back, and jumps into his boot.
He deserved that for using a stupid spot. IRS gets the tag and rushes across the ring but can't stop Typhoon tagging in, Typhoon hits right hands on IRS and sends him off the ropes into a clothesline. Ted DiBiase takes a clothesline too. Typhoon knocks IRS down with another clothesline and hits a running splash, he covers but DiBiase breaks it up at 2. The Nasty Boys clothesline DiBiase over to the floor, the referee gets them to evacuate the ring in a more diplomatic fashion before IRS uses the ropes for leverage to cover Typhoon and eliminate the Natural Disasters. Jerry Sags enters the match and immediately rolls up IRS leaving the Nasty Boys as the sole survivors.
WINNER: NASTY BOYS
The pin one member of a team, both members are eliminated made this match drag on for me, there weren't enough teams to use that version of this match in my opinion. Before the Beverleys were out I was thinking it was going to be a roll-up fest. It was an OK match but nothing memorable. .– As a match it's ** but personally I'd rate it 3.5/10
After the match Brian Knobbs sends Ted DiBiase out to the floor, then the Nasty Boys send IRS into the ropes, he runs into a double-team clothesline. Jimmy Hart shouts at the Nastys from the apron, then decides to bail with the belts and his team.
