AJ LEE (C) VS. PAIGE

The night after Wrestlemania XXX Paige debuted on Raw and won the Divas title from AJ Lee, ending the longest reign in the championship's history and making Paige the youngest champion of any kind in WWE history. The challenger enters first, as is customary, however, does it skipping like AJ Lee. During AJ Lee's entrance, we see her win the championship back 7 weeks later on Raw. Michael Cole, Jerry “The King” Lawler and John “Bradshaw” Layfield are on commentary for this match.

WWE Summerslam 2014 (17^th August 2014)

Paige offers a handshake at the bell, which AJ Lee accepts, then bites Paige's hand, starting a flurry of slaps. AJ Lee pulls some of Paige's extensions out as Paige escapes the ring. AJ Lee follows and sends Paige into the announce table and apron before they go back in the ring. Paige cuts her off with a spinning kick and takes it to the ropes, but AJ Lee catches the knee and sends Paige from the apron to the floor with a back elbow. AJ Lee kicks Paige, but the running kick is blocked, AJ Lee ends up in the electric chair on Paige's shoulders and is dropped face-first onto the barricade.Paige skips around ringside and breaks the count before we get a replay as she brings AJ back into the ring. Lawler's eyes almost pop out of his head as Paige sets up mounted headbutts. She goes to the chinlock, which makes sense. Divas matches are usually about 3 minutes, this video's 10 so they would need to rest at this point. AJ Lee gets to her feet but is sent back down to the mat.

Paige hits the knees to the gut over the middle rope this time and brings AJ to the corner and up to the middle rope. AJ Lee fights it off and is able to push Paige down, she hits the apron before finally getting to the floor. AJ Lee gets a diving clothesline from the top rope. JBL tells AJ to take the countout win, but she brings it back into the ring at 6. She hits a running kick to a kneeling Paige and covers for 2. Paige is brought to her feet but she shoves AJ away and kicks her in the jaw. The Paige Turner is countered into a Black Widow, but Paige counters that into the RamPaige for the win.

WINNER: PAIGE (NEW WWE Divas Champion)

This was a pretty standard Divas match, but they got a lot into the time they had. The electric chair into the barricade is something I could see a lot and not get bored of it, it was back and forth with the final sequence being really impressive. [** ½] 4.5/10.

After the match JBL mentions that it's Paige's 22^nd birthday as she hugs AJ's knocked out body and skips around the ring with the title. We get a replay of the Black Widow counter and kiss on the cheek. We then get a promo for Summerslam 2015 switching coasts to New York/New Jersey.
