Jerry “The King” Lawler is on commentary for this
match along with Jonathan Coachman, Jim Ross also appears for this
match after taking it easy for the rest of the show due to a concussion
suffered at the hands of Eric Bischoff. JR says he's here to see
Bischoff get his ass kicked tonight. He calls Bischoff a no-good
bastard as Eric grabs the mic. He says no one wants to see him
wrestle, but the crowd disagrees with him. He offers to forfeit the
match but the glass breaks and the roof blows off as Stone Cold walks
down to the ring.
ERIC
BISCHOFF VS. STEVE AUSTIN
WWE
No Way Out (February 2003)
Eric Bischoff starts pleading
with Austin, but gets tackled to the ground. The bell rings and we
have a match as Austin lays in rights to Bischoff. Steve Austin lets
Bischoff up, he gets to keep kicking his ass if he's not
disqualified. He chokes Bischoff with his vest then stomps a mudhole
into him in the corner as the fans chant “what?” JR and King talk
about the past history between the two, dating back to 1995, with
Bischoff not seeing Austin's potential and firing him. Steve Austin
removes Bischoff's gloves. In reality, it was a bit optimistic to be
wearing them. Coach gets his first line of the match as Bischoff is
sent into the turnbuckle, confirming that Austin is in good
ring-shape. Austin stomps a mudhole in Bischoff again in the corner,
showing the referee the finger as he gets close to a 5 count.
Eric Bischoff pokes Austin in
the eye. Eric Bischoff kicks Austin in the chest but all it does is
activate Bischoff's turbo booster as he exits the ring. Stone Cold
stops Bischoff from exiting through the crowd, chopping him against
the security wall and throwing a drink in his face. Eric Bischoff is
sent into the crowd on the other side before Stone Cold brings him
all the way back to the ring. Stone Cold taunts Bischoff as he gets
to his feet. Austin hits the Stunner and covers but lifts Bischoff's
shoulder before the three count. Austin helps Bischoff get his
shoulder up again and complains to the referee. Stone Cold brings
Bischoff up to his feet, hitting a second Stunner and covering for 2.
Assisted, of course. Stone Cold brings Bischoff to his feet, flips
the double bird and hits the third stunner to put Bischoff out of his
misery.
WINNER: STEVE AUSTIN
After the match, Stone Cold hits a final Stunner,
because why not use all three finishers you have stored?
It was what it needed to be, Eric Bischoff got his
ass kicked by a returning Austin, it didn't overstay its welcome and
Bischoff looked protected kicking out of the Stunner. Well, maybe not
the last one.– WORKRATE: 1/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 5/5 OVERALL 6/10
