HULK HOGAN (C) VS. THE GIANT

Hogan and Giant are arguing as Eric Bischoff, Tony Schiovane and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan on commentary. Hulk Hogan asks for the rules and Schiovane still goes through them right after. The trucks are welded together. They accelerate into each other, pushing the trucks towards the edges of the ring. Bischoff says “listen to the crowd” but we have no audio there. Hogan has one axel pushed out but you have to push both axels out to win. Because Monster Trucks aren't gimmick enough for WCW, they've placed explosive charges randomly in the circle, Hogan's truck goes over one but it does no damage, People just walk past in the background as Hogan's truck gets near the edge. Hulk Hogan makes the comeback and pushes The Giant's truck out of the circle to win.

The Giant gets out of his truck, going over to Hogan. Hulk Hogan fights off The Giant but Giant picks him up in a choke, placing him on the edge and climbing up. To be honest, if you're going to cause that sort of destruction it does make sense to see it. Hogan breaks The Giant's grip and The Giant falls backwards from the roof. Hulk Hogan runs off shouting for help. We go back to commentary and they're speechless. Bischoff goes off to see what's happening. Jumping to before the scheduled main event between The Giant and Hogan and we have no update on The Giant. Hulk Hogan makes his way out with his championship and his manager, Jimmy Hart. THE GIANT IS HERE!! We jump into an alternate reality where Schiovane always downplays everything as he calls The Giant surviving that fall and walking to the ring “borderline incredible” ”The Taskmaster” Kevin Sullivan is in his corner.

The bell goes, with Bischoff still not back at the announce table. Hulk Hogan removes his bandana to reveal he's painted his forehead like The Taskmaster. The Giant charges but hits the corner. Hulk Hogan lays into him with strikes but it barely moves The Giant. Even with a running start. He picks up The Giant to slam him but hurts his back. The Giant clubs Hogan down and starts hitting and raking at the back. The Giant sends Hogan from corner to corner, Hogan walks into a boot and The Giant goes back to the clubbing. The Giant chops Hogan in the corner and roars. Hogan has to help Giant choke him in the corner. The Giant chokes Hogan without assistance now he's seen how it's done, then uses his boot. Hogan walks into a boot, taking him down to his knees. The fans chant for Hogan and he is able to force The Giant across the ring from his knees. He tries to fight to his feet but The Giant's too strong, as Hogan verbalises. To show how little has happened in the match, we're currently halfway through. Jimmy Hart has the WCW title belt with him at ringside, which I don't think I've seen before.

Hulk Hogan gets to his feet, the crowd follow suit but The Giant breaks the hold with a kick to the gut. The Giant looks like he's going to suplex Hogan but settles for a bearhug against the ropes. The Giant slams Hogan but misses what was apparently a leg drop, but he leant back so far it looked like an elbow drop attempt. Hulk Hogan gets the right hands and sends The Giant into the turnbuckle. His height makes it look awkward close up. Hogan chops at The Giant's throat, shoving the referee away before mounted punches on The Giant. Hogan bites The Giant's forehead and threatens the ref, finishing the heel trifecta with a series of back rakes on The Giant. Hulk Hogan sends The Giant into the corner and follows him with a clothesline. The Giant staggers back from a running clothesline, with Heenan mentioning he hasn't left his feet. Hogan is able to back The Giant into the ropes, with the third clothesline taking The Giant over to the outside, doing a full 360-degree flip before landing on his arse. The Taskmaster helps The Giant up and they try to leave but Hogan follows them, bumping their heads and bringing The Giant back into the ring.

Hulk Hogan pokes The Giant's eyes and hits him with rights. Hogan runs into The Giant but he's not leaving his feet. The Giant goozles Hogan, catching him by the throat but Hogan goes back to the eyes and raking the back. Does Hogan have to pull a gun to get disqualified here!? Hogan chokes The Giant against the ropes but The Giant sends him across the ring and hits a backbreaker. The Giant covers Hogan for a nearfall and attacks him as Hogan gets to his feet. Hulk Hogan is sent across the ring into a bearhug, it wouldn't be out of place with slow dance music for most of the next 90 seconds, besides Hogan trying to pry The Giant's arms apart, using his own to try and create space and him breaking free with 5 punches to the noggin. Hogan's back it hurting so he can't capitalise. The Giant slams Hogan to the mat and hits another clubbing blow and goes back to the bearhug. Hogan breaks free again, the crowd counting with his punches, but he runs into a chokeslam. The Giant covers but Hogan powers out! Fuck off, I did not watch this for Hogan to no-sell. The Giant kicks Hogan as he Hulks up, eating the punches and the big boot, but he's still on his feet. Hulk Hogan slams The Giant and Jimmy Hart's on the apron, he decks the referee with the belt! Hogan asks what happened and gets Hart to help him revive the referee but as soon as Hogan's back is turned Hart shoves the referee down, hitting Hogan with the belt. Hogan gets his hands on Jimmy Hart but The Giant's recovered and he traps Hogan in another bearhug, with The Taskmaster getting in cheap shots.. Lex Luger and Randy Savage run down to the ring, but Savage takes a belt shot. Lex Luger turns on Savage as The Yeti stumbles down to the ring. He bearhugs Hogan from the back and Schiovane sums it up perfectly. “what the hell is going on?” Lex Luger puts Hogan in the Torture Rack. Savage also gets the awkward bearhug and Torture Rack. The referee wakes up to disqualify Hulk Hogan.

WINNER: THE GIANT (DQ – HOGAN RETAINS)

A good ending can bring a bad match back to credibility, you can forgive a bad finish to some extent if the match is good. Unfortunately, this match had neither. I reviewed the Fall Brawl WarGames match (here) and The Giant got the biggest reaction when he wasn't in the match. He then has this stinker of a match after “falling off a building.” I'd have been less pissed off if they gave Taskmaster the match. The final minute is infamous for reason and it's not even worth watching this match out of curiosity. – WORKRATE: 1/5 PERSONAL ENJOYMENT 0/5 OVERALL 1/10

I guess if you want to sleep, I mean watch this match, it is featured on WWE's release “WCW's top 50 Incidents” I'm sure there's more quality on there too.
